Omg yes!! The vocals on 'Star Trekkin'' are admittedly a bit more annoying than I remember them being but I have great childhood memories of that song so I have a big soft spot for it still :lol:

Band Aid 89 is definitely the only version I don't like, it's not awful or anything but a little limp for me.

Glad Star Trekkin has been saved, it's a fun little novelty.

Cowabungaing their way to within a Splinter’s whisker of the final, Partners in Kryme sadly instead head for the Shredder. Like the Turtles, DJ Keymaster Snow and MC Golden Voice (James Alpern and Richard Usher) hail from New York City and this was their only hit, written and recorded specifically for the “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” feature film which was a live-action spin off of the popular animated series that had been running for three years. Kryme apparently stands for Keep Rhythm Your Motivating Element - well I supposed they weren’t motivated by melody - although they beat Daft Punk to a decoder #1 by a good 23 years.

 

The film was a huge commerical (if not critical) success becoming the highest-grossing independent film until The Blair Witch Project jumped up from behind and overtook it. “Ninja Rap” by Vanillia Ice from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secrets of the Ooze and “Shell Shocked” by Juicy J from the 2014 reboot both inexplicably failed to chart.

Hearing 'Turtle Power' conclude four TOTP episodes in a row while I was binge-watching was quite the experience :lol: glad it has dropped out.

Turtle Power, Mr Blobby and Star Trekkin' surviving :cheeseblock: There is hope for novelty yet *.

 

Pretty deserving top 10 on the whole, still got a soft spot for the novelty songs and Grandma though x

Star Trekkkin’ isn’t a very pleasant listen but I’m OK with it escaping.

 

Turtle Power is a bit of a dirge but it’s not awful. Fine with that dropping out.

 

And happy for Blobby although he told me he was really looking forward to some Tubby Tustard in the final.

Turtle Power is completely forgiven for denying Hanky Panky a number 1 status. :yahoo:

 

I'd save Let's Party and Itsy Bitsy from the top 10, they don't deserve it imo. -_-
