Glad for Brit

but this is so bad, they've really tried to make Cold Heart part 2

but kinda failed...

The song itself I have mixed views on, it's not exactly a huge bop for me but i'm happy for Britney to be getting this success.

Biography

Eliza Rose

East London DJ, producer and singer, Eliza Rose spent a decade at famed Flashback record shop earning a formidable collection of vinyl, and a deep appreciation for the roots of where this all began. Her career as a lyricist has seen her write and perform on stand out cuts like Angel D’Lite ‘Pleasure Xone 43’, M4A ‘Shades Of Red’, and with Cody Currie on the ‘Flame’ EP, cementing Eliza as a contemporary and future voice for the next rise of UK club culture, a sentiment dear to her heart. This is very much the start for Eliza with her debut EP currently in the works for later in the year, incorporating her electronic roots mixed with neo-soul and more. Early supporters for Eliza Rose already include Resident Advisor, The Face, Mixmag, DJ Mag, Vinyl Factory and more. - Apple Music

Interplanetary Criminal

Interplanetary Criminal’s contribution to the sound of UK garage has not gone unnoticed since his big breakthrough over lockdown. The producer first emerged in the 2010s, releasing a string of bangers merging shuffling beats with rough-edged melodies on labels such as E-Beamz and Kalahari Oyster Cult. Over time he's honed in on the UKG sound, turning heads in even the furthest corners of the globe. The Manchester-born DJ, producer and ATW Records label co-head is helping to further the resurgence of a genre that carries the weight of the UK on its back — a tribute to ‘90s dance music and some of the most prevalent club bangers that had Britain uniting on the dancefloor with its distinctive sound. In a new strain of UK garage, Interplanetary Criminal - real name Zach Bruce - brings that nostalgia back to club dwellers all over the UK, most notably in the city he was born and raised. “I feel like Manchester has always had an amazing scene with so many advocates for UK bass music,” says Zach when we chat to him from his home city. “There’s such an abundance of good music and producers. If you’re throwing a UKG party up here, it’s almost always gonna sell out.” Through his time on the scene, Zach has released through labels including Dansu Discs, Sneaker Social Club, and Shall Not Fade’s Time Is Now, and picked up even more traction through viral sets and raucous livestreams playing to boisterous, high-energy crowds. The producer pays homage to Manchester every bit of the way, and has helped to bring younger crowds through the doors to experience a genre that circulated clubs before they were born. Now playing tastemaker, Zach recently launched his own label, ATW, alongside close friend Main Phase seeing the UKG hopefuls and up-and-comers get their foot in the door. In a quick come-up post-lockdown, Interplanetary Criminal simply has fun with what he does, and that’s the beauty of his project. As strong a producer as he is a DJ, Zach’s homemade club stormers and charged-up crowd-pleasers are only ever certain to fill a dancefloor. - MixMag

Thank god ATF has fallen from the top and I hope it goes ACR next week too
Fingers crossed for Eliza Rose at #1, Elton/Britney keeping their #3 placing and Big City Life making the top 10.

Would be nice if Arctic Monkeys have done enough over the past few days streams to scrape top 40 as well. It would be a shame if it held the #1 spot on Spotify (if only for a day) and didn't even get that far.

Thank you chart gods!

This has grown on me slightly but still nothing on Cold Heart IMO

Expecting a big plummet next week and may well be lucky to cling onto the top 20

Really? It's just been moved up on HH and is still top 5 on Apple Music.

Oh yeah. A great new number 1 today. :D
Really? It's just been moved up on HH and is still top 5 on Apple Music.

I guess, but it’s literally falling day by day on Spotify

I’m pretty certain it will be out the top 10 at least.

Really? It's just been moved up on HH and is still top 5 on Apple Music.

It's tanking on Spotify and won't have all those first day downloads backing it up either next week. I expect a hefty Jesy Nelson style drop tbh.

There's still time for its fortunes to reverse before then though I suppose.

Yay for Eliza Rose! Such a bop

Still find myself feeling a bit disappointed to hear LF SYSTEM at number 2 but they’ve defo had their time

Congrats, Kath x
Really? It's just been moved up on HH and is still top 5 on Apple Music.

It has also today been added to Todays Top Hits!

Biography

Sigala

The Norfolk DJ and producer behind a string of house-pop hits in the 2010s, Sigala makes music that’s irresistible due to its joy and exuberance. His flair for songs full of sunny melodies and big energy reflects his solid grounding in soul, funk and pop gained while growing up and playing keyboards in teenage bands in Norwich (where he was born Bruce Fielder in 1992). He discovered his love of engineering and producing while messing about in a makeshift studio he built with a friend. His first chance to show off his playful sensibility was with his 2015 debut, “Easy Love”, on which he memorably repurposed the squeaky voice of the young Michael Jackson from the Jackson 5’s “ABC” into a piece of shiny dance pop. A No. 1 single, it sent Sigala up the ranks of festival DJs and Las Vegas club headliners. On later hits like 2016’s “Ain’t Giving Up” with Craig David and 2017’s “Came Here for Love” with Ella Eyre—both of which featured on his 2018 debut album, Brighter Days—Sigala reached further heights of pleasure and positivity by combining an eminently modern and tropical feel with old-school elements of disco and ‘90s house. A collaboration with The X Factor winner James Arthur, Sigala’s 2020 single “Lasting Lover” saw him build something fun and unique with the help of another borrowed hook: MGMT’s “Time to Pretend”. - Apple Music

David Guetta

From his early days playing Chicago house in French discotheques to his long reign atop the pop charts, David Guetta has revolutionised dance music multiple times. Born in Paris in 1967, Guetta began DJing in the late ’80s, when the shimmery sound known as the “French touch” was taking shape. By the early 2000s, at his F*** Me I’m Famous parties in Ibiza, he had translated that melodic style into a clever merger of pop sass and club swagger. He parlayed that mix into pure platinum with hits like 2003’s “Just for One Day”, an energy-stoking rework of David Bowie’s “Heroes”, and 2002’s “Just a Little More Love”, a sultry bump-and-grind featuring R&B singer Chris Willis. That versatility—along with a knack for killer hooks—would become one of Guetta’s principal calling cards, and as EDM exploded across pop culture at the end of the 2000s, Guetta’s shapeshifting style led the way, yielding ecstatic affirmations (“When Love Takes Over”), feisty come-ons (“Sexy Bitch”) and unstoppable singalongs (The Black Eyed Peas’ “I Gotta Feeling”, which Guetta produced). Since then, his collaborations (Sia, Nicki Minaj) have kept listeners guessing even as his choruses—triumphant as a bottle of bubbly blowing its top—have proven one of pop’s most dependable pleasures. - Apple Music

Sam Ryder

Sam Ryder’s soulful and spectacular voice blasts off like fireworks all throughout his pristine pop music. The Essex-based singer is a true 21st-century success story: after years of playing in rock and metal bands and trying to break into the songwriting game in Nashville, Ryder took to posting cover songs to the internet during the 2020 pandemic lockdowns, and quickly caught the attention of stars like Sia and Justin Bieber. In short order, he skyrocketed to social media stardom—and it’s not hard to hear why. Although 2019’s “Set You Free”, on which he showcased his impressive vocal acrobatics over soft guitar chimes, hinted at what was to come, his post-lockdown work is where he really shines. The soaring and impassioned “More” (2021) explores his metal influences, and The Sun’s Gonna Rise EP offers the best of his poignant originals thus far, such as the melancholy “Whirlwind” and the sun-blasted “July”. - Apple Music
