The Måneskin song has had a fairly similar start to 'SUPERMODEL' despite being a lot lower on NMF - I'm still firmly of the camp of 'their success probably won't last that long and it's fine if it doesn't / we shouldn't expect it to' but that seems like as promising a sign as we could have expected? At least shows they still have a pretty decently engaged fanbase out there, I wasn't really expecting a top 200 debut for this either!

 

'SUPERMODEL' debuted #111 with 81k, 'THE LONELIEST' is in at #159 with 63k. Iirc 'SUPERMODEL' was an instant HHUK add too? Also saw Whoddy posting in the thread for this song that it has much better immediate TikTok numbers than 'SUPERMODEL', and anecdotally from what I've seen this song seems to have been better received in general. I'll still not hold my breath at it making any impact beyond today but I want to believe ~

Really shocked at the underperformance of Mimi, similar to Tate's new one - they'd been promoting it for ages and it worked for House On Fire and She's All I Wanna Be!

 

I assume Tate's uh oh has been added to a playlist on Apple Music hence her late appearance there. The much hyped new girlband FLO sadly only seem to be getting Apple Music playlist and not spotify.

 

As for Mimi Webb she should have released a Halloween themed track - a song called 'Spider's Web' would have worked very well!

I guess it's not surprising but kinda insane that LF system have had the biggest hit of the summer

huge huge song, everybody loves... now they're back with the follow up and despite decent day 1 support

no one cares and the new song doesn't even make the top 200 on Spotify

 

at least it's doing better on Apple, guess it has more support there

I saw her live the other day and she was fantastic. Me and 1,500 others enjoyed her.

 

I wouldn't rule her out of ever having another hit, she's talented, a great ambassador for Gen Z and clearly Go was a force of nature driven by TikTok but she's the sort of artist that could achieve that sort of virality again, or another radio hit. Just not out the gate, and probably not with People Pleaser, but certainly possible with something in the future.

Tbf to Spotify, every single release of Flo's has been on their New Music Friday playlist (it's how I discovered them). It's no Today's Top Hits or Hot Hits UK, but still something.

I was disappointed when I listened to the extended version of I'm Good and it was about 4 minutes long. I thought extended versions of dance songs are supposed to be like 7 minutes. Oh well.
