Hi Just Carol Honey, the latest one day figure will effectively include 1 day’s worth of everything: streaming, downloads and physicals - but not all from the same day, for example, it will be the Saturday’s Spotify figures, but the Sunday’s downloads.

 

The figure from Friday/Saturday will include two days of downloads, but only one day from most streaming platforms.

 

So, yes, this is to be expected. The Sunday figure will always be more than half of Friday/Saturday as a result. I hope that makes sense.

Quite a big drop from last week :-(

 

Not to worry huns, I feel Friday we will get something new to give it a boost. This will only be classed as the first week of overall decline as last week Padam had a massive Friday and Saturday that kept it boosted for the rest of the week hun.

 

I also feel this isnt the end, I think it will pick up steam again huns. I dont see 8 being its peak at all.

I'm beginning to think that #8 will be it's overall peak, but I'm expecting it to spend the next 3-4 weeks around the #8 to #15 mark. It's streams seem reasonably stable (although on Spotify it is suffering from the Glasto-effect). It's sales will naturally decline as they can't stay up there forever.

 

I have a sneaky feeling that it will hit ACR in week 10, but I guess that all depends on them there remixes.

I don’t disagree but BMG do not do the whole price cut thing - they are very much for profit.

 

Kylie’s singles released on 7” vinyl from ‘Disco’ were all £10 each and shifted 3k to UK fans, the £3.99 CD and £2.99 cassette for PP proved again to BMG that fans will pay full price for physicals when everyone else is selling them for 99p.

 

I’d be shocked if the vinyl was less than £10 and I’d equally be shocked if it doesn’t sell out at that price very quickly.

 

IIRC the Disco vinyls have been heavily discounted a few times? The Infinite Disco vinyl is currently £8.28 on Amazon!

Yes - all of the Disco variants can be picked up for cheap, the vastly overproduced which were essentially fan items that the GP would have limited interest in.

 

The vinyl singles for SS, Magic and Real Groove all sold out at the full price of £14.50 with delivery.

If I understand you correctly, I would say typically no. In general each platform would report one day’s streams at a time, so we should see a steady growth between Sunday and Thursday. Friday’s leap is always greatest as that’s when the additional (admittedly estimated) data is added for those who were a day behind. However there can be more data missing at points during the week.

I understand. So Mondays midweeks may have just been Saturdays streaming figures from spotify as spotify tend to report a day behind hun? So by the time Mondays mids are published they would have Saturdays spotify numbers (which they would have got lunctime ish maybe on Sunday?) So no time to include them on Sundays midweeks so they are included on Monday hun and its like that all week? So todays mids will probably have Sundays spotify numbers included hun?

I think the remixes have been held back to help prolong the ARC coming for the song. So I expect this to stay around for a while. I think it will have its peak on vinyl release week. Expecting at the very least a download of a remix on Friday (maybe vinyl as well to oush for its peak?) Before the new remix comes to streaming a week this Friday (10 days time ish) to then increase sales to stop the decline. All this may help keep it top 10 for a few extra weeks aa well huns? Or they may let it have one more week decline after this week before acting? Although I think it will be this week we at the very least get a download on Friday huns. At the very least?
