Love that a 2024 Kylie release has achieved that - in the streaming era I never thought we’d see that in the UK or US.

It was definitely something I'll never forget/never quite believe was actually real!

What a fantastic performance. Bossed it, works the crowd so well. I watched a bit of Ellie and thought the crowd was very flat.

Wembley Stadium Tension Tour?

Really hope it does top 10 this week, I genuinely think if Radio 1 weren’t such idiots it would be a number 1 song !
Yeah this Capital performance really makes Radio 1 look so out of touch and stubborn. There’s a stadium full of mostly young people celebrating Kylie and loving Padam Padam, meanwhile Radio 1’s Big Weekend’s only notable moment was when the pretentious posh band they love to push threw their toys out of the pram because the audience didn’t know who they are. Says it all about the state of Radio 1 and not knowing their audience really!
God when this lady gets on the stage, she OWNS it. And I’ve always liked her UK performances the most, it’s the one place where she truly feels like home. PP was great but given the UK knows her entire reportoire, I wonder why she chose to perform Head of all songs (yes, aware it’s her biggest hit but she could’ve done something else or more reCent).

CGYOOMH is a bit of a Capital statement song and one they still play now - the size of audience and type of event too I’m not surprised she went with it.

They can push both and it’s a shame they don’t, but it would be weird for Radio 1 not to champion one of the biggest young bands of the last decade. Previous times at the festival (this was their third) they’ve gone down a storm, they were just unlucky to be playing to Lewis Capaldi and Niall Horan fans.

Can somebody post the clip of the lady when she realises it's Kylie coming on. That's going viral for sure its all of us. I think Kylie Peru posted. Its on artl

With J Hus the only new entry strong enough to be above Kylie, and the two Dave tracks in massive decline, Kylie does stand a good chance of being top 10 once the cassettes are added. Remember, she is not as frontloaded as she was last week - and she is still on the up on both Amazon and Spotify.

On another note, Kylie is number 1 for the 3rd week on the Big Top 40. I’m pretty sure that chart counts downloads over a whole week. So it’s unsurprising the new releases aren’t above her, and her downloads have been consistently above Calvin Harris until they were split across 3 to 4 versions.

^^ I don’t think BMG will let it slip through their fingers this week, I’m pretty sure they thought they had it in the bag last week (and they very nearly did).

They will be able to assess this week if anything further needs to be done as they will know the amount of cassette sales to be reported, I’m hoping though with the gains on Spotify, Amazon & Apple and the performance today will be enough to push it over the line without the need for anything else.

What a moment if it does indeed go 26-23-12-10!

While I think it's Radio 1's loss to not be supporting and spearheading the success of a track this impactful, I don't think their impact is anywhere near big enough to make it a #1 hit...! It'd need major streaming support for that (as in, top 5 on Hot Hits UK as a bare minimum).

I'd LOVE it to go top 10 but I don't feel optimistic this week, not with two Dave & Central Cee songs behind her as well as Rema, all of whom stream better than Kylie. She'd need some really strong cassette sales for that top 10 peak. I truly believe they jumped the gun with the CDs - think she could have secured top 10 if they were in play this week!

3rd week big top 40 number 1 is great and helps keeps our hopes of top 10 alive. Does the summertime ball usually gubeca goid boost to singles performances?
#10 on First Look - come through streams and cassettes

Brilliant.

Guess we’ll know more tomorrow about it’s chances once we see the sales breakdown…just hope the cassettes are definitely not registered and hoping it’s shows streaming substantially up.

With it reaching a new peak on spotify, CD sales continuing, release of remix & casettes also in the mix I really hope she makes top 10 this week! I'm hoping casettes will be added to midweeks sooner rather than later so we can get a better idea of how much they help.

Fingers crossed the Capital Summer Ball performance can give it a little boost. Hoping it'll be moved up on HH UK tomorrow too (not holding my breath).

Hopefully the music video will increase in streams again this week to help its performance (It rose from 77 to 48 in the weekly youtube chart last week with an increase of ~41,000 views).

The Dave tracks really messed things up.

The Dave tracks really messed things up.

On the plus side "UK Rap" and "Trojan Horse" appear to be falling off a bit now on Spotify/Apple Music. If Kylie keeps up her momentum and they keep falling I think she'll be safely above them in the next chart.

I'm thinking the two DaveCee tracks won't be an issue if they're now in decline and Kylie's now making quantum leaps. I know Rema always climbs by the end of the week and they're a lot lower than I'd have expected.

5,6 & 22 on UK Itunes, little rises today.

9 on Day 25 of Worldwide Itunes Chart

More Cassettes and CDs and Vinyl will be on the way with the remixes/features. BMG have tested the waters

Also if they are nowhere near the top 10 then they could push the Cassettes back to Friday release and start next week with bang, when there is another feature supposedly coming out
