UK Chart Run: 1-1-1-1-2-4-6-9-13-25-32-46-60-63 (14 weeks)

 

First to get the boot is legendary American songstress Mariah Carey with her cover of Badfinger's original. This was the second time a cover version of it hit #1 in the UK, after Harry Nilsson's in 1972. It was also Carey's first of three UK #1s to date. I'm quite surprised this song was voted out first but perhaps I overestimated Mariah's popularity on here.

 

Pardon the delay on getting Round 2 but we're rolling now. Every song received at least 1 vote in the first round so this is anyone's game!
