oh nice for Fred Again and Tom Odell

also nice for Paul Weller, thats a b-sides album I believe

Good to see The Beatles at #2 and Fred again.. as high as #4! Hope he can stay top 10 at least if not top 5 - what an improvement either way though after the previous 2 'Actual Life' albums didn't even go top 100! (Not sure if they had physical releases tbf?)
Taylor getting two weeks at #1 in the albums and AM getting none. If both albums got released a week apart, both albums would’ve had turns at #1. And no major albums out this Friday which could give Taylor three weeks at #1. She’s only going to #1 because of name only. She could release an album of farts and go to #1

That's very impressive for Dylan to be as high as 11! Probably won't last and she'll end up 29 or something but considering I was expecting not top 40 that's good.

Blue going to continue to slip as the week progresses too.

Yes, all of her albums have sold 200k+ and debuted three songs in the top 4 of the singles chart...

Impressive also for Foo Fighters. It must be for completists only as it has nothing new to offer and the artwork looks like a budget compilation, not sure I'd buy it at full price.

Blue at 10, their last two albums peaked at No.13 so hopefully this only falls to there, but no doubt it will fall further.

I listened to the remaster of Revolver earlier, the first time I have ever heard the album in full. It must have sounded so pioneering when it came out. Tomorrow Never Knows sounds like it could have been a Chemical Brothers or Britpop track from the late 90s. I already know the mighty Eleanor Rigby and Yellow Submarine of course.

This is such a snobbish comment. The total domination she is seeing well into her 2nd week means it is certainly NOT name power alone. If it was just because of her name, she'd be free-falling now surely? The continued impressive streams show people are returning to the songs and continuing to listen and enjoy. Also any artist ever would be #1 if you removed their competition so what a moot point.

Was hoping Garbage would be higher but it's not really been pushed or promoted, think it was only announced a couple of weeks ago.

That may be because they literally sampled it on one of their hits!

It makes me happy that this re-release is leading more people to discover and appreciate my favourite album *.* 'Tomorrow Never Knows' is definitely a proto-'Setting Sun'!

Happy to see it at #2 after how big this Taylor era has turned out to be.

Wow! You'd think I'd have made the connection.

It's a really absorbing listen - the production feels like it must have been so daring. Sounds like they threw the kitchen sink at it - at least in 1960s terms - but it all works.

If you are not a fan of the 3 song rule you may change your mind when I tell you that Taylor Swift has the entire Top 10 of this weeks US Hot 100.

That's the first time that has ever happened - it beats Drake who only had 9 of the top 10 when his album Certified Lover Boy came out.

The top 3 tracks in the US are slightly different to us - they have Maroon instead of Snow On The Beach.

Bubblin Under

55 Jvke - Golden Hour

58 George Ezra - Dance All Over Me

59 Imagine Dragons - Bones

63 Rockwell - Somebody's Watching Me ^

68 Sam Fender - Wild Grey Ocean *

75 Richard O'Brien & Patricia Quinn - Time Warp ^

83 The Weeknd - Blinding Lights ^

87 Andrew Gold - Spooky Scary Skeletons *

90 Adele - I Drink Wine ^ [reset]

95 Schak feat. Kim English - Moving All Around (Jumpin') * [ooh yay!]

great to see Rihanna holding on to #3 and Fred Again just about in the top 40 singles/top 5 albums too

Crazy that Britney and Elton are still #22 even with new entries from Rih and SZA.

She did only go #1 because of name only. If someone else’s name was on that album, it wouldn’t have sold as much as it did with her name on it
