UK Chart Run: 5-3-2-3-4-3-2-2-4-9-10-18-21-22-25-28-52-62 (18 weeks)

Narrowly losing out in Round 4 are legendary New Jersey rock band Bon Jovi. They were very much a well established act before the release of Always in 1994 which went on to become their highest ever peaking hit in the UK at #2, spending a week behind Whigfield's Saturday Night and 2 more behind Pato Banton's Baby Come Back. Many more top 10 singles would follow but they never quite managed to reach the summit.

Approaching the half way point of this survivor now.

This really isn't a great list is it? Gone for Let Loose as per but honestly the only track here I'd actively choose to listen to is The Sign.

Gone too soon for 'Always' </3 a classic rock ballad.

Still going for Doop. I don't dislike anything but I don't love anything particularly highly here neither outside of SAD.

So after Doop led Always 7-2, 5-1 and 6-1 in the first 3 rounds, Always falls 10-9 as soon as Baby Come Back is eliminated. Because of course Pato Banton and Bon Jovi's music has so much in common :mathswoman:

Still D.O.O.P.

poor brave Always :( kinda like Bon Jovi and their ballads... really don't get how everybody hates Always and prefer "things" like Doop or Saturday Night or even the bad Wets cover...

I guess people like the 'Livin On A Prayer', 'You Give Love A Bad Name' s, more upbeat tracks of theirs which tbf is fine as those are fab too.

They've done other great ballads imo though like 'Bed Of Roses' & 'Wanted Dead or Alive'(although I think this is Jon Bon Jovi on his own).

'Saturday Night' is a classic and I will not hear otherwise.

My vote goes to Drip Drip Drip.

Voted The Wets to try to save Doop
