December 2, 20223 yr Author A stunning header from a phenomenal player. Aleksandar Mitrovic equalises for Serbia against Switzerland
December 2, 20223 yr Author Xherdan Shaqiri is one of three players to score at each of the last three World Cups... The others are Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.
December 2, 20223 yr Author Dusan Vlahovic scores with a divine finish! Serbia turn it around against Switzerland and now lead!
December 2, 20223 yr The current Group G standings are looking very similar to how the Group H standings looked before the games finished...
December 2, 20223 yr Author If Brazil win their match against Cameroon they will be the only team to have maximum points in the group stage. I can't think of a World Cup where no team at all won all of their group matches so it could be history being made if Brazil fail to win. Last time none of the teams won all 3 group games was 1994.
December 2, 20223 yr A bizarre twist of events! Cameroon take the lead and go down to 10 men simultaneously.
December 2, 20223 yr So Brazil and Switzerland go through! Although Cameroon's late win does mean that each African nation comes away from the tournament with at least one win.
December 2, 20223 yr With Brazil having lost there, that's practically all the big name teams having lost one of their matches now! Edited December 2, 20223 yr by TheSnake
December 2, 20223 yr Stuck a cheeky fiver on Cameroon to win after there being so many other upsets (and Brazil resting a lot of their players like France did the other day) so just won £45 :cheeseblock: Shame they're still out anyway since Switzerland also won.
December 2, 20223 yr Was watching the Brazil match first, that was a bit of a bore fest, switched it over to the Serbian game, that was a score fest, glad I made the switch, didn't miss much from the Brazil match I see, apart from Cameroon in the closing seconds of the game. Let the knock off stages begin. I think Netherlands and probably Argentina making it into the Quarters from tomorrows' matches. Interesting match between Morocco and Spain, that should be a good one, the rest they look pretty much obvious, Japan might come good, and the Swiss might give Portugal a good run.
December 2, 20223 yr Is this going to be the first time where no team finishes the group with 9 points??
December 3, 20223 yr Switzerland always find a way out the groups. I never doubted them. Serbia's defending let them down this time, the goals were there.
December 3, 20223 yr Is this going to be the first time where no team finishes the group with 9 points?? I wondered that as well but turns out it happened in 1994 too.
