I'd love to see RAYE get it this week, it would be such a great story and she must never have even dared imagine it would do anywhere near this well

  • Most of Sunday’s streams weren’t included in Monday’s update (except Amazon, where she is performing poorly). Likewise most of Tuesday’s streams weren’t included in today’s update. I feel it is probab

Wham! could overtake Mariah this week then as the gal must be very small. Happy for Raye to pass them both though.

Ideally Raye could get to #1 this week with a fresh new bop, with Wham overtaking Mariah and ascending to #1 for Christmas just to ensure my betting return is higher. Am I abandoning my endless moaning about old Christmas songs wrecking the charts for a month for the sake of making a profit? Maybe?

Perhaps but I feel Wham! will get stronger streams next week/the week after (judging by last year streams)

I kinda hope Mariah gets it this week.

We get the same snarky comments every year. People just love the Mariah & Wham songs. If their sales weren’t cut in half they’d be wiping the floor with the competition already and Mariah would’ve already been #1 last week.

Funny that some have a problem with genuine popularity but not the TikTok algorithm sound bites.

Exactly  this is all fake, Mariah and Wham are dominating so who cares who the OCC decides is #1 due to their arbitrary “rules”

^ we get these same redundant moans about legitimate complaints with the current chart system every year too
Never liked a Raye song but just heard Escapism and wow. Where did that come from? Stunning. Will be no1 in the new year if not sooner.
Contrary to how I usually feel about it, I'd love tomsee Mariah actually hit #1 again this year. I never used to follow the first chart predictions thread but is it usually the case that Mariah or Wham would hit #1 at some point in the week and then fall back down by Friday?
Wham! have already overtook Mariah on Spotify as is the annual tradition, so if anything they're more likely to reach #1.

Pointless is not holding up as well as Forget Me on Spotify even without the Christmas influx.

RAYE would be #1 on Spotify without Christmas music.

We love the boring patronising comments! Actually, if you're such a chart fan, you might understand that a lot (not all, but a high majority( is likely passive streams who aren't actively seeking these songs out and just going for background music, this can be proven by the songs high up and included on playlists are always the ones doing best (i.e Leona's One More Sleep isn't doing as well as previous years due to not being on as Manny playlists)

So no it's not a true reflection really, and god forbid you come on a forum where people care about the charts, actually want to see some sort of reality and not have the same songs dominate every year.

Raye coming for the #1 - it’s shot into the Top 5 on iTunes as a result of her insta Q&A earlier today.

Escapism now down to #6 sadly as the Sunday Alexa streams have now given Ed/Elton and Stormzy a big enough boost to overtake. Hopefully now the weekend is over the Christmas madness will calm down a bit but I'm not so sure if Raye can make #1 now.
Be interesting to see the sales. I’m guessing the top 6 is close. Hopefully RAYE can make it, or at least get a top 5 peak
