I’d love to see Chris De Burgh and Greg Lake re-enter this year and as many times as they want. Shame the latter was denied Xmas #1 by a non-Xmas song back in 1975. The same thing happened in 1987 when FONY was denied Xmas #1 by a non-Xmas song

Hoping for Anti-Hero/Midnights to pull of a return to #1! Also hopefully a new peak for Kelly incoming!! Top 10 this year finally please <3 (+ new peaks for Santa Can't You Hear Me and Christmas Without You this season will definitely be welcomed :wub:)

Great to see Andrea Corr top 40, I know she won't hold on but hopefully she can stay top 100 as I'm doubtful of top 75.

There were some definite review bombers when I looked on itunes (obvious they hadnt listened to the album and just wanted to bash Olly)

 

Saying that, the drop next week will be maaaaassive

It's not just the iTunes reviewers but the music critics have also been (rightfully) critical of Olly's album

You don’t need to purchase it to leave a review resulting in the same sad trolls flooding albums with 1* reviews. Some of the ones on Stormzy’s new album are disgusting.

oh wow Olly is on half of what I expected

 

the singles chart is like every December Alexa reporting exaggerated unbelievable streams for Amazon, like suddenly Amazon has bigger streams than Spotify, if the OCC believes that...

 

I actually could believe it. I reckon there's a lot of people who don't listen to much music outside of Christmas, and that those kinds of people aren't likely to have Spotify or Apple Music but might have Amazon and Alexa.

Sam Ryder would’ve been a contender for Xmas #1 if he pushes his album back a week. Even if he does get #1, he won’t hold on to get Xmas #1. So many albums released this Friday but no major albums being released next Friday

I still can’t believe Capaldi is only #18!

To be fair though, there are 11 Xmas songs in front of him but yeah even so, #7 would still be an underperformance by his standards.

Def shocked to see Lewis Capaldi so low and even number 7 without Christmas songs is low for him.
