December 5, 20223 yr LadBaby can get lost. The joke was over a long time ago and it's a travesty there have been multiple songs with 1-2 week chart runs
December 5, 20223 yr Oh that’s lower than I’d hoped for Leftfield, definitely not going top 10 by the end of the week then
December 5, 20223 yr Has the “same” #1 had such a long gap between runs at the top (assuming Mariah gets there this week?). (Also being OCC official and discounting Elvis, Queen, George Harrison and Three Lions)
December 5, 20223 yr Love to see Snowman getting back into the top 40! :cheer: also would be great for Midnights to get another week at #1...
December 5, 20223 yr Of course it’s when a Buzzjack fave like Raye gets denied a #1 everyone is suddenly anti-Xmas lol I'd say the same no matter what but continue putting words in people's mouths.
December 5, 20223 yr I’d love to see Chris De Burgh and Greg Lake re-enter this year and as many times as they want. Shame the latter was denied Xmas #1 by a non-Xmas song back in 1975. The same thing happened in 1987 when FONY was denied Xmas #1 by a non-Xmas song Edited December 5, 20223 yr by Hadji
December 5, 20223 yr Hoping for Anti-Hero/Midnights to pull of a return to #1! Also hopefully a new peak for Kelly incoming!! Top 10 this year finally please <3 (+ new peaks for Santa Can't You Hear Me and Christmas Without You this season will definitely be welcomed ) Can see ‘Midnights’ being Xmas no1 now!
December 5, 20223 yr Official Chart Update #ChartFact Fleetwood Mac's seminal 1977 album Rumours is the studio album with the most weeks spent in the UK's Official Albums Chart. Currently standing at 969 weeks, it's the fourth longest-standing album in UK chart history after greatest hits collections ABBA - Gold, Bob Marley - Legend, and Queen - Greatest Hits.
December 5, 20223 yr Great to see Andrea Corr top 40, I know she won't hold on but hopefully she can stay top 100 as I'm doubtful of top 75.
December 5, 20223 yr Wouldn't mind Olly going to #1 There were some definite review bombers when I looked on itunes (obvious they hadnt listened to the album and just wanted to bash Olly) Saying that, the drop next week will be maaaaassive It's not just the iTunes reviewers but the music critics have also been (rightfully) critical of Olly's album The Arts Desk - 1/5 The Telegraph - 1/5 The Irish Times - 2/5 Clash - 4/10 This quip from The Arts Desk is my fave "The lyrics are so utterly at odds with the giddy, lightweight music, it’s as if an AI pop song generator has malfunctioned."

At least those reviews have actual comments saying why they rate the album low!
December 5, 20223 yr Wouldn't mind Olly going to #1 There were some definite review bombers when I looked on itunes (obvious they hadnt listened to the album and just wanted to bash Olly) Saying that, the drop next week will be maaaaassive You don’t need to purchase it to leave a review resulting in the same sad trolls flooding albums with 1* reviews. Some of the ones on Stormzy’s new album are disgusting. Edited December 5, 20223 yr by Chloe00x
December 5, 20223 yr I'd take anyone over Ladbaby if he does go for it again. Once was enough let alone 4 lmao.
December 5, 20223 yr oh wow Olly is on half of what I expected the singles chart is like every December Alexa reporting exaggerated unbelievable streams for Amazon, like suddenly Amazon has bigger streams than Spotify, if the OCC believes that... I actually could believe it. I reckon there's a lot of people who don't listen to much music outside of Christmas, and that those kinds of people aren't likely to have Spotify or Apple Music but might have Amazon and Alexa.
December 5, 20223 yr I'd take anyone over Ladbaby if he does go for it again. Once was enough let alone 4 lmao. Yeah same. He can p!as off.
December 5, 20223 yr Sam Ryder would’ve been a contender for Xmas #1 if he pushes his album back a week. Even if he does get #1, he won’t hold on to get Xmas #1. So many albums released this Friday but no major albums being released next Friday Edited December 5, 20223 yr by Hadji
December 6, 20223 yr I still can’t believe Capaldi is only #18! To be fair though, there are 11 Xmas songs in front of him but yeah even so, #7 would still be an underperformance by his standards.
December 6, 20223 yr Def shocked to see Lewis Capaldi so low and even number 7 without Christmas songs is low for him.
