I feel bad saying this but the autistic version is worse than the original, yes I listened on Spotify out of curiosity

nooooo dont give streamssssss (kidding btw, some people struggle grasping jokes on here)

I'm not anti them in principle, but in their latest video they've said "it's 99p - a hundred percent of it goes to the charity". Now they're out and out lying I don't want them to get to #1.
On Facebook 3 hours ago the OCC said Sidemen have climbed 11 places in 48 hours and there is momentum.

That would still only put them at 17 as they were 28 in the original update

Have they showed any support to Jason Manford’s single and album as that is also raising money for the Trussel Trust? Surely if it’s all about raising money for charity they wouldn’t mind that selling well.
So latest video uploaded touching video about Trussell trust then right at the end 48 hours to download the song, why does it magically get taken of iTunes on Friday

And not forgetting Basil Brush's single, Boom Boom It's Christmas Again, also raising money for the Trussel Trust, and featuring several other children's TV characters and stars spanning the 50s to 10s.

I hate these videos. The amount of people who quietly raise huge amounts for the Trussell Trust and charity in general and these two are quite frankly attention seeking. The past four years they have just released records which were a bit daft and people downloaded them. Simple! This year is loaded with manipulation and desperation, and it’s really hard to believe they are doing it purely for benefit to the charity. But for me, it’s the choice of song that has left a really bad taste in my mouth. To equate a song raising money for a famine that killed hundreds of thousands with a cost of living crises is revolting.

"Hi everyone! We just wanted to come on late on this Wednesday night to update you all about how the chart is going! There is 24 hours left and you promised us you were downloading all versions of our song but we are no longer number 1 on iTunes? How do you think the struggling families at the food bank will feel about this? There are lots of conspiracy theories that we are grifters who only support the charity at Christmas and we are here to tell you that we are disappointed in these liars trying to overthrow our honest 5th number 1 attempt charitable work with their toxic fake news. You can trust us."

The profits are actually split between the band aid charity and Trussell (as confirmed by Roxanne on "Lorraine" on Tuesday). That's how they got to use the song.
HOW can people genuinely think these people are doing this to genuinely help foodbanks? They make an absolute fortune from the merchandise and sponsors and social media posts and the UK public are so f***ing thick they really think they’re still your average down to earth council house family.

There was a final push on Radio 2's Breakfast Show this morning, with just Roxy in the studio (although they did phone up LadBaby). It gets millions of listeners so I wonder how much of an effect this will have had? I really miss Kworb pop bars!

For the sake of interest I looked to see how it's doing on iTunes in some other countries:

Ireland: #3, #22

US: #37 & #48

Canada: #23 & #26

Australia: #4, #10 & #31

New Zealand: #4, #8 & #54

It seems apart from the US, Sidemen are currently higher in most charts internationally!

Who is the US/Canada/Australia/New Zealand are downloading this?!

I was thinking the same thing, although it does tally with some of the comments on their youtube videos saying they are downloading from said countries.

It must just be a symptom of the fact that the download market is in the pits that it's so high there. It's not like it's actually going to make any significant impact there. Even the Ed/Elton collab one couldn't crack the top 40 in Australia or Ireland (the only other territories I believe it charted) and the thought of it charting in the US is laughable.

it won't crack the us thats for sure. wonder how high itll be in ireland. luckily they seem to have more sense and haven't let him get to #1 so far... if only theuk could follow suit...
