December 13, 20222 yr Other names are still TBA Makes sense otherwise even by ladbaby standards this is a massive step down
December 15, 20222 yr They said on GMB today that they’ll continue to release Christmas singles for as long food banks aren’t properly funded.
December 15, 20222 yr Do you guys think LadBaby care more about the charity giving, or having as many Christmas #1s as possible?? It's definitely the later, in my opinion. Also, if I had the power to do so, I would transport LadBaby to Australia just like they did to petty criminals in the 19th century. Umm I’d rather you didn’t. Haha Omg yes exile him. Oz don't deserve it though. What about China, they are still running pretty draconian lockdowns from what I hear, that should stop him from getting near a recording studio lmao. Thank you Dot Branning.
December 15, 20222 yr ^Learning from Ed :D I’m pretty sure that at least their last couple of releases have had them! Interesting that the version ‘with special guests’ is different to the main song.
December 15, 20222 yr Surely the TBA features are known at this stage. It’s released tomorrow! They are officially announcing them tomorrow at 9am when the video goes live online. They did a livestream yestereday evening where they gave a few clues. There is one person who is very well know for piano, and a another who is very well known for guitar. And it also involves a reunion of sorts apparently.

December 15, 20222 yr It's on YouTube if you have a VPN and it sounds awful. The autotune is hell but it doesn't give anything away about the special guests. Edited December 15, 20222 yr by Megg065
December 15, 20222 yr They said on GMB today that they’ll continue to release Christmas singles for as long food banks aren’t properly funded. Which of course is very noble of them, but maybe if they weren't part of the problem which causes food banks to exist in the first place I might have a modicum of appreciation.

December 15, 20222 yr It’s not as if the only way of fulfilling charitable aims is to produce horrific music. I guess for them it’s become the only way they know how though. If I were them I’d probably keep going so I can’t really blame them but it’s just a shame from a music / chart fan perspective. Having said that if Wham! or Mariah were getting the Christmas Number 1 every year we’d soon be complaining almost as much about that. It’s a shame the Christmas week isn’t seen as an opportunity to release genuinely great new music, and I do think the X Factor legacy still has something to answer for in that respect. Of course it’s understandable if the average person would prefer to hear familiar Christmas classics than something new though.
December 15, 20222 yr Surely at some point downloads will have fallen by enough, or a viable contender will emerge, that he won't always get No.1. No domination lasts forever, X Factor seemed completely unstoppable from 2004 to 2014 - not always Xmas No.1, but No.1 nonetheless, and then Louisa Johnson tanked in at No.9 out of nowhere in 2015. Every concept runs its course.

So here’s a topic for a new discussion… what was the last genuinely good Christmas #1 single (as in a new release at the time)?

December 16, 20222 yr Unsurprisingly it’s completely awful. Can’t hear any ‘big stars’ on it either. This may blow up in their faces
