Unsurprisingly it’s completely awful. Can’t hear any ‘big stars’ on it either. This may blow up in their faces

Judging from the physical single track listing, the version with ‘special guests’ is a separate version set to be released with the video at 9am.

That makes sense WhoOdyssey. The version released is hideous, so it certainly needs a bit of star power to flog it.
Amazingly, it wouldn’t be his first appearance on a top 40 single - he was featured in “I Fought the Lloyds” by Oystar, which reached #25 in 2008.

It's just lookalikes of famous popstars with them in the video - and Martin Lewis.

Obviously the song is awful, but I don't really mind. I find the self-righteousness of people getting upset about a charity record quite ludicrous.

And I can't believe we're now cancelling people because they might have once voted for Boris Johnson in an election.

Agree that it’s churlish to attack a project raising money for charity, but having lookalikes in the video with no stars actually featuring on the single is really bargain basement and disingenuous to the original, and not quite what was promised.

It's not about "cancelling" them per se (although that would be wonderful, and perhaps better they never happened in the first place), but to be doing this for something they're in part responsible for is at best disingenuous and at worst duplicitous - it's only right it gets called out for what it is.

They are grifters, and they are not doing it out of the goodness of their heart.

That's poor by even ladbaby standards massive step down from last year , was suprised Martin Lewis had the better voice out of the 2 though
I kind of surprised they couldn’t get a few stars on this. I would have thought they could have got Ed Sheeran to record a couple of lines and the likes Olly Murs and Sam Ryder are types to have been up for anything. Or they could have went down the route of non singers and got a few presenters and tv stars on it.
Sam Ryder singing the “Tonight thank god” line would have been perfect
I've got a feeling that this is the first version, and that the 'with special guests' version hasn't been released yet. I wonder if he's trolling everyone, and if the other version will drop on Monday and will have all the real stars corresponding to the lookalikes on the currently released version.

The idea that everybody who has ever voted Tory, or Brexit, or whatever, cannot possibly care about poor people is ridiculous.

And whilst clearly it is beneficial to their "career" to continue with these singles, that doesn't mean that they don't care about the charity they support. It doesn't have to be one or the other.

I mean, all celebrities who ever do anything for charity are partly doing it for their career. And if everyone who ever started a charity or arranged a fundraising event and wasn't in someway partly doing it for their own ego then there wouldn't be much charity work done.

THIS!!!

ABSOLUTELY THIS!!!

YUUUUGE charity grifters. They vote for the ones causing the massive rise in food banks too!!! Incredible! Profiteering from the Tory regime, like thr landed gèntry lot. Grifters

Song is absolutely DIRE.

I tried. I really tried! I got as far as the opening 2 lines and nope nope nope.

Bloody awful.

I hope the Trussell Trust benefits from this release, I really do, but to take a record that raised money for a famine that killed thousands of people and use it as a template for a cost of living crises and then make a comedy video to go with it is pretty revolting

Am I right in saying that the best bet in stopping LadBaby in getting number one is probably getting tens of thousands of people to actually download Mariah Carey and Wham this year, as that will then count for a lot when adding on top of all their streams (despite the ACR rule). Or is ACR still in effect even with paid-for downloads too?

ACR is only for streaming so those sales would not be halved. Would rather people went for Raye instead as they aren’t on ACR and only song right now with the streams to make up for a lack of downloads.

Yeah, literally anything else is fine by me!

You are absolutely correct. Getting tens of thousands of people to care enough to download Wham! or Mariah ain’t going to happen though.
