Congratulatons awardinary your victory! :D

And now a second voter putting me in their top 5 hooray, the second half of this curated reveal has gone much better for me. Thanks dhwe.

Rooting for Slowdive out of the top 2 but both would make good winners (Jadu Heart would just be a second Nuggets winner in a row that narrowly missed out on my points after KennyHoopla being 12th for me last time).

Astonished that Camp Cope are second to last, that was a very, very easy highlight for me, such a shame! So it's picked out 5 points other than mine :o

edit: now last, whattt?

Congrats on your first Nuggets victory Wardy! Thanks Rabbit for hosting this edition. Extremely pleased to finish in the top 10 after finishing in the bottom half for the rest of the editions I participated in. Think I found the key to do well  Nouns is too low :( It's very iconic x

Congrats Wardy! Seems I didn't vote for that but I did like it.

Very sad that my favourite came last, and happy enough with 13th for mine despite it leading at one point. Lucky I didn't follow live, that was quite a spectacular drought in the middle.

Thanks for hosting Mark, I did find some great tracks in here. Will try and make a note to find a decent entry for the next one.

just wanna shout out deerhunter bc it's the only song I already knew from the list and it happens to be one I adore from a band I love so it was destined to be my 12, great pick harve!! probably the best album closer of the 2010s, the way it meanders into that beautiful synth outro only to cut off unexpectedly is gut-wrenching every time, especially if you're listening to the album

and congrats to wardy, slowdive just missed my votes but a worthy winner!

Like I said before - the Shoegaze revival starts here!

Worthy winners and good to see Slowdive haven't been forgotten

Well done awardinary.

Thanks to everyone who voted for Knife Bride and thanks to RFC for excellent hosting

Thanks for all the comments and to everyone who followed. Nice to have so many entries and get a full house voting too. A good one to host, enjoyed more songs than I often do in this one.

Link to Spreadsheet for anyone interested.

Congrats Wardy! Great winner, I really do need to check out more from them as they seem right up my alley. Hope this can bode well for me in BJSC later this week maybe? *comes last* :kink:

Hooray for a last minute surge into the top 3 *.* Excellent stuff, so pleased I got to share one of my favourite songs of the year, thanks for all the votes <3 I thought my top 10 streak would end with this but clearly not, My first hit in while here that actually has vocals as well! :o Pleased that Russian Circles managed to get top 20 in the end as well.

Thanks for the great hosting, RFC!

I mainly just tried to get a change of leader each time I updated, with as many different ones having a turn at the top as possible. Unfortunately that would mean some had to fall further, so made my own entry fall the furthest!

The last three votes were the last three that came in though, so wouldn't have played out any different at the end with a more typical presentation.

Congratulations Wardy. Your song got 6 points from me so it's a good winner.

I had planned to enter a 15 minute song by Pain Of Salvation but decided against it as it takes about 8 minutes to really get going and I thought you all might lose patience with it, so I looked for a shorter song by them. Maybe I should have stuck with my original choice.

Thanks RabbitFurCoat for hosting.

Oh posted my last post a little too slowly! And ending with another decent set of Russian Circles points hooray, thanks Harve as well.

Congrats Wardy, a solid winner there! :cheer: and I hope that'll bode well for Slowdive's other contest entry of the month that I like even more than this one. x

I didn't vote for any of the songs that finished 2nd to 4th (Jadu Heart and Sun's Signature were both just short, Deerhunter unfortunately didn't really click with me, I felt like it should be my thing but was just going over my head sadly, might be a grower) - but then nearly all of my other votes lining up in a row after that! Brilliant to see Heartworms in the top 5 *.* a bit of a shame Miranda Sex Garden dropped off so much after their strong start but still a nice top half finish. And the only song I voted for that wasn't in the top half of the results was my 1 pointer Soft Blade which is hardly a surprise as that was quite a low key song.

Happy to have snatched a top 20 with the little run of points at the end, and Tides From Nebula representing the post-rock instrumental niche on my behalf up in 6th x (meanwhile my other two pre-contest faves being 10th and 11th, shame EKKSTACY fell just short there but not complaining at zzzahara being top 10).

Thanks for the hosting RFC, hooray for completing two editions of this within a year!

Sorry to rub salt in the wounds but I ranked that song last as I didn't like the vocals on it at all

I had considered sending Slomo from the same Slowdive album to either this or UP before, but was put off by the entry requirements with them having charted. Ultimately I don't really think a band who had a couple of top 75 singles and top 40 album in the early 90s should be disallowed from contests like this.

Apologies for being otherwise occupied for most of tonight but I've thoroughly enjoyed catching up with the results, thanks for a great hosting job RFC!

I'm chuffed with 5th place for Heartworms  I didn't really have high expectations but hoped that it would connect with at least a few others. The gothic post-punk sound was right up my street from the word go unsurprisingly. The screaming finale was a less predictable move but I thought that would be fun for an anon contest. I originally considered sending it to BJSC but then this Nuggets edition popped up and I thought it'd be more appropriate here. Thanks so much for all the love, especially top marks from Severin + Doctor Blind <3 always cool to do well with the hosts also.

What an incredible top 5 :o me and my entire top 4, I couldn't have asked for much better than that  congrats Wardy! I was excited for both of the Slowdive entries here and in BJSC, as I really liked what I did know by them already. Chez's entry here was so enchanting, made a lot of sense to find out that the vocalist is Elizabeth Fraser from Cocteau Twins as that is often a sentiment I feel for her. 3rd is fabulous and at least not quite another bridesmaid position :kink: I discovered Doctor B's wonderful 2nd placer via 6Music and charted it before I'd listened to the contest, prompting a couple of raised eyebrows in my thread  but there you go, it wasn't me! Then lastly my 10 Deerhunter rounds out the top 5 - I was so gripped and need to check out more.

It's a shame that Miranda Sex Garden didn't quite stay in the top 10 for Rich, but still a solid debut. Senders of artists with names you probably shouldn't Google unite :D

Would've liked to have seen Soft Blade and Russian Circles higher but I do remember feeling like the latter wasn't getting enough love at the listening session.

Congrats Wardy. Just about scraped in as a 1 pointer for me. I'm pleased with a few others in the top 10 but of course my favourite coming 9th. Deserved!

Note to myself not to send something that sounds like a MOR song on radio :kink: (it was on US radio apparently in 2017). I thought the Rolling Stones sound would have caught on a tad bit better but nothing to lose sleep over really.

Camp Cope deserved to do a bit better than last too.

nice coup towards the end there, glad to see the niche voters came through. a top 20 finish for the least accessible song in the field :magic:

great job RFC!
