UK Chart Run: 1-1-1-1-3-5-9-13-20-26-35-56-62-60 (14 weeks)

Next to fall are Manchester pop and soul band Simply Red with their only ever UK #1 single. They had been active for 10 years and released 4 albums before the release of this lead single from their fifth, Life. The song samples Give It Up by The Goodmen (also known as Chocolate Puma, TIL!) which was a top 5 hit 2 years prior. Simply Red would be a chart force for a further 12 years before disbanding in 2010 then reforming in 2015 since when 2 more albums have been released.

Boo love Fairground! Happy with either Jacko going so will go tactically for the one more likely to go which seems to be YANA.

This is going well. YANA next!

Please leave Think Twice alone - fantastic song! :(

Went for You Are Not Alone but not a lot to choose between that and Earth Song
My reaction was being aghast at the voter of 'Back For Good'

I don't mind 'Back For Good' that much really (apart from the corny lyrics and Gary's voice). I seem to be in the minority that likes both of the MJ songs and the Celine track. 'Think Twice' is one of her best imo. Then again YANA probably could grate if I heard it a lot but I like it still.

Besides my next option would make most 'aghast' in that case

You Are Not Alone of course
the 2 Jacko songs are the worst left now

between RJ, SR and MJ they blocked so many great songs in 95 from going to #1, they all deserve an early exit

Pulp twice :/

Surprise at the huge win so far!!
