- The Weeknd will finally release 'Less Than Zero' as a single, perhaps in remixed form and it'll make the top 40

Technically Less Than Zero became a single this summer but he has done zero promo for it except it being his 2nd last song on the tour setlist.

Jid's Dance Now & Coi Leray's Players will break the top 40

Does 'Dance Now' have virality or is this just a completely random prediction? (Either way, we can only wish x)

*a more widespread release potentially with a remix then, didn’t know that!

- Kylie Minogue has a #1 studio album

- As does Madonna in a quiet week

- Fred Again make a big splash in the singles by achieving a big top 3 single

- Jess Glynne has a single peak in the 30s and an album scrape the top 10

- Jesy Nelson releases a second single which charts at #42 and the album remains unreleased

- A really bad dance remix of Jordin Sparks' 'No Air' becomes a decent-sized hit

- Sam Ryder has a ballad duet with somebody which becomes a huge top 5 hit

- Mimi Webb flops completely, fades into obscurity and is never ever heard of again (I wish!)

Rihanna won't release a new album, just a 2-track EP

Lana will get a number one album in March, with the highest opening sales of the year so far

Demi will finally get a top 75 single and the follow up to Holy Fvck will get into the top five

The Saturdays will finally reunite for a one-off performance

Speaking of, All Fired Up will take off on Tok Tik and manage to return to the Top 200

Girls Aloud will release a single and a reissue of their Greatest Hits, the single will not be as successful as they'd want

Spice Girls will announce a Farewell tour, Greatest Hits will return to the Top 100 for a few weeks

Little Mix will all release solo singles, only Jade will trouble the top five

Jesy Nelson will flop harder with single two

Shawn Mendes will come out and release a queer-anthem

Sam Smiths album won't have the staying power, Unholy was an anomaly

Harry Styles will get a number one single in some form

Justin Bieber will get a number one single and album

Cheryl will announce a small-theatre tour later in the year and release a new track, which fails to chart

Dua Lipa will get a number one single

One Direction members will peddle a reunion, but Harry and Zayn won't be interested

The Christmas Number One WON'T be Ladbaby

I'm now obsessed with the idea of a Lana remix with a big single push after it being suggested here.

- Artic Monkeys and Harry Styles headline Glastonbury alongside Elton John

- Harry Styles wins British Artist and album of year at Brits, Arctic Monkeys win group, Taylor wins International Artist

- Melanie C releases her 8th studio album and goes top 10 again possibly top 5 for first time since Reason

- Rihanna releases a new album coinciding with Superbowl, it goes to #1 but isn't the huge smash everyone expects falling fairly quickly

- Madonna does a new stadiums tour and struggles to sell out but enough to complete the tour

- Kylie releases a new album and gets #1 again

- Little Mix girls start their solo releases, Jesy ends up releasing something in the same week as one of the others, probs Leigh-Ann which causes stan wars

- Cher does legends slot at Glastonbury (more a wish than a prediction would say Spice Girls but looks like that is ruled out)

yessss i support this idea too. Its not a want its a need

  • 2 weeks later...

figured i'd drop in some of these before the year in music really gets going x

- Rihanna does her Superbowl performance met with a general "eh that was okay" response, she drops an afrobeats-style single which goes to #1 around spring/summer

- Ed Sheeran releases his acoustic/folk album which receives rave reviews, any singles from it will also chart high of course (albeit not as dominant as his pop stuff)

- Olivia Rodrigo leans in fully on a rockier sound for her sophomore album, it'll have at least one huge single though generally won't reach the heights of Sour

- Doja Cat continues her run of success with another string of hits, also appearing on a song with Eminem which tops the uk chart

- Frank Ocean finally decides to drop an album in time for his Coachella slot

- Miley Cyrus returns with a more dance pop-leaning sound, the album manages a modest hit and receives acclaim from online pop fans and critics

- Lewis Capaldi's album of sadboy ballads becomes the top seller of the year, he also reaches #1 with Pointless after selling 30,000 signed CDs (the OCC will not think to question or investigate this)

- Dave scores another huge #1 single

- Travis Scott releases his next album which mostly underperforms, only one track does well thanks entirely to a Drake feature

- Nicki Minaj's next album will at least be more successful than 'Queen' though its release will be surrounded by an avalanche of controversies and/or beefs

- Sia makes a chart comeback at some point

- The Weeknd and Meghan Trainor both have another song of theirs gain TikTok virality

- Maisie Peters gets a first top 40 single with a more playlist-friendly pop track, followed by her album reaching #1

- Lovejoy return with a new EP which spawns their highest charting single yet

- Cat Burns and Dove Cameron score their second hits despite Buzzjack writing them off as a one hit wonders for some reason

- Sam Tompkins, Jessie Murph and Doechii have breakthrough hits

- one of Depeche Mode's older hits sees viral success on TikTok in a similar fashion to Tears for Fears

- a fairly good year for girlbands with NewJeans seeing worldwide success, and FLO eventually strike gold with a top 40 single by the years' end

- Afrobeats has a big year, with Asake scoring a breakthrough hit and even Fuse ODG making a chart comeback via a feature

- more songs with early 2010s samples/interpolations pile into the chart to make me feel old (i'll take a wild guess that one of them will sample Naughty Boy's La La La)

a few album chart predix based off the current schedule:

- The Courteeners score their first #1 with the anniversary edition of St Jude

- Ellie Goulding, Shania Twain and RAYE compete in a fierce battle for #1, with Ellie winning out

- Buzzjack have their facepalm moment by becoming convinced P!nk's album will miss out on #1 to Inhaler (she outsells them by about double)

- Lovejoy return with a new EP which spawns their highest charting single yet

Why would you remind us all they exist x

Flo get some hits and become the third line in the lineage of Spice Girls - Girls Aloud - now Flo.

Last minute predictions:

Jax Jones releases a follow-up to Snacks tracking "Tequila" to "Lonely Heart" and beyond

The New J Cole record becomes his first ever no. 1 album.

Aj Tracey drops his new album which goes top 5 but doesn't really have a big single (i.e top 10)

Headie One has a new album (Also no. 1) which has a huge single called "Martin's Sofa"

New Dave record does mad numbers Q2

Also a new KSI record which is also a no. 1 and has a Lil Baby & Lil Durk collab and that goes straight to number 1

We're surely due a customary Train top 40 single out of nowhere now.

Also Regard & Martin Garrix should be back with a fairly big hits.

And I don't think we've heard the last of Jonas Blue or Imanbek from a commercial perspective.

Mariah and Wham gonna rule the xmas chart again LOL

Ed Sheeran the beginning of the his end

Janet Jackson,Kylie and Madonna gonna have no1 albums

Miley Cyrus gonna a new big hit
