Booted first from this round we see Children's duo presenters Sam and Mark who released an inferior cover of the Beatles song 'With A Little Help From My Friends'. It was also covered by the late singer songwriter Joe Cocker whose version is my favourite. Scottish Band Wet Wet Wet also did a memorable version too. The song topped the UK Chart in February 2004. The duo got their names famous through appearing in Pop Idol 2003 the same year as eventual winner Michelle McManus. The lads individually finished in the final three along with Michelle. They scored one more top 20 hit and they never made the chart again after that.

Westlife and Diana again!

I missed the last round but that was definitely the right choice to go first, being a pointless and dreadful cover.

 

Ant & Dec, Blue and Westlife all need to go next in any order but I voted Ant & Dec.

The Joe Cocker version of 'With A Little Help From My Friends' is the only acceptable option from the three chart-topping covers x

Although I quite like Westlife, the songs they did with divas - Mariah and Diana - are awful.
