December 28, 20222 yr I agree with Bré that 'Earth Song' is over-hated  I mean the accompanying performances can be a turn-off but I'd rather listen to it as a song. 'Missing' is good but not a massive standout for me personally. Having said that, I'm not that bothered if either goes as I prefer the other three songs left to both. (I totally agree with the 'You Are Not Alone' hate though, bleh)
December 28, 20222 yr I am not here for this re-evaluation of Earth Song it remains overblown dross. It sounds good compared to Heal The World i’ll give you that.
December 28, 20222 yr Let me just override Jade's nomination for Poster of the Year after that choice vote
December 28, 20222 yr I mean if we're going by the version that everyone knows I would be voting for 'Missing' as well so I will stick up for Jade here xx (insert my anecdote for about the 100th time that I know and like the original version of that more than the Todd Terry remix because it's the one my mum used to play all the time and the remix has always sounded a bit weird to me as a result)
December 28, 20222 yr Earth Song is RIDICULOUS and also FABULOUS Back For Good is the weakest of this bunch, but overall this is an insanely strong five.
December 29, 20222 yr Author I find Missing extremely pedestrian myself. No way does it stack up to the likes of Haddaway, Snap, Culture Beat etc.
December 29, 20222 yr You are pedestrian not Missing tbh :D hahaha both the original Missing and the remix are 11/10
December 29, 20222 yr I wouldn't file Missing alongside Snap or Culture Beat anyway - they're not trying to achieve the same thing. The latter are out-and-out club records; Missing is out-and-out melancholy that just happens to have a dance beat. Edited December 29, 20222 yr by Torple
