January 31, 20251 yr 'Dancing in the Flames' not being in the (standard?) album makes me think the song was just marketed to promote/demonstrate the iPhone 16's camera. :heehee: Edited January 31, 20251 yr by All★bySmashMouth
January 31, 20251 yr Alright, Open Hearts is a bop (checking the credits and oh, Max Martin). Certainly comparable, so I prefer this to Moth to A Flame.
January 31, 20251 yr The reception to this seems to be pretty universally positive on Reddit in contrast to all the negativity in here  who do I trust x (I'm still looking forward to hearing this, as I go against the BuzzJack grain in thinking 'Timeless' is one of his best songs) Oop at 'Dancing In The Flames' not even making the tracklist in the end.
February 1, 20251 yr For me, the first half is strong then the second half is... much weaker, except for the title track. By "second half", I mean 'Niagara Falls' or 'Take Me Back To LA' onwards. He. Edited February 1, 20251 yr by All★bySmashMouth
February 1, 20251 yr Well, I gotta say the album is way too long that people already felt bored before even reaching the Lana collab (which is the only thing I scored 80+ from the last half). Might be changing my mind if he releases one of those album fillers as a single. Edited February 1, 20251 yr by CowTzy
February 2, 20251 yr Agree with others saying this is too long and samey, but I’m still enjoying a lot of it. I think there’s enough variety to stop it merging too much, but it definitely could’ve been edited down. Drive is on repeat for me, obsessed with that. Haven’t seen enough love for it, but I guess that’s inevitable when it’s such a long album. It’ll be interesting to see if he sticks to this being his last album as The Weeknd. What a ride it’s been since House of Balloons 🥹
February 3, 20251 yr After a few listens the album is fantastic and Lana's outro on The Abyss is amazing
February 3, 20251 yr The length made this a bit of a slog and the lyrics weren't really grabbing me for the most part but I did enjoy the slick transitions and will take away 'Open Hearts', 'Drive' and 'Without a Warning', plus 'Timeless' has properly clicked for me now. Agreed that Lana sounds amazing on her feature too.
February 4, 20251 yr The album is good but slow and Open Hearts is by far the best track on the album Edited February 4, 20251 yr by Blond 2.0
February 5, 20251 yr Reviews are very good overall even a 7.8 from Pitchfork https://pitchfork.com/reviews/albums/the-we...ry-up-tomorrow/
February 5, 20251 yr i think the album is good, its got some strong highlights, but i agree with the points that it is too long. i struggled to get through it, if it was closer to 13-15 tracks it would be much stronger. the abyss, reflections laughing, wake me up and open hearts are highlights for me! i fear timeless is slightly growing on me now too :kink: up until now i have hated it but its ever so slightly better sounding lol
February 5, 20251 yr What is the physical cd all about? Just 11 tracks but two of those not being on the streaming version. I’ve bought every album of his in week one in physical form and I really want to get this but essentially half the album not there! I did get it on iTunes however! I may cave and get one and then get any further editions with everything on there. On course for the UK #1 anyways. It would be his third consecutive number one (studio) album! February 10, 20251 yr @1889051504536961344 Good to know that this is coming! Also UK and US #1 album!
February 11, 20251 yr I know a lot of people love this album, but I'm not feeling it, anyone else the same?
May 16, 20251 yr Movie of the same name is now out! Anyone know how much of the album is used in the film? Also the album looks set to return to the UK charts after the complete 22 track edition was physically released.
