Miley Cyrus’ Flowers should easily hold the #1 spot for a second week, while Headie One is set for a high debut with Martin’s Sofa. Returning with new tracks are Fall Out Boy with Love From The Other Side and Arlo Parks with Weightless, along with releases from Kim Petras, boygenius, A$AP Rocky, Kali Uchis, Ed Sheeran and The Kid LAROI

Fresh contenders from The Reytons with What’s Rock and Roll and Måneskin with Rush compete for the #1 album. There’s new releases from The Murder Capital with sophomore record Gigi’s Recovery and Trippie Redd with MANSION MUSIK, plus albums from Mac DeMarco, Ladytron, Låpsley, Biig Piig, Black Star Riders, John Cale, We Are Scientists, Katatonia and Lukas Graham

Breakdown of the week

- Saturday: Some information may be posted on social media but it is likely to be missing most streaming data and is unrepresentative.

- Sunday: Official First Look Chart on Radio 1 from 6-7pm. Please do not post spoilers on the forum in advance as this ruins the countdown for any listeners.

- Monday: OCC Top 100 from 5:45pm

- Tuesday: Top 40 update as and when we receive them with requests, this is NOT 100% guaranteed however. The OCC may publish sales flashes of their own accord but likewise, this is not guaranteed. Twitter and social media is your friend for today. Please post any information you find with a source. Do not nag for updates, we will post a top 40 update if we receive one.

- Wednesday: Top 40 update from Music Week from 5:45, and potential top 5 sales but this is not guaranteed.

- Thursday: See Tuesday.

Other notes (please read)

- You may make requests Tuesday to Thursday but outside the top 40, specific positions will not be revealed (unless deemed necessary by a mod).

- Please do not demand a midweek update, one will be posted as and when we receive the information. Patience is a virtue.

- Sales information will be given out as deemed necessary by a moderator, please bear this in mind when making requests. Most requests for sales will be ignored. Any chart requests between No. 41 to 100 will not be answered after Monday's update.

- To keep everyone in the loop of all chart action, please refer to the iTunes and Spotify threads.

Hope Rhys Lewis - Corner Of The Sky Can get top 100 albums

I’ve been seeing adverts for him on social media loads in the last week, and only now am I realising that it’s not Rhys Nicholson from Drag Race Down Under . I thought it was a stand-up tour or a book!

OCC

She can do it better, baby! Miley Cyrus looks set to claim a second week at Number 1 with Flowers, which is currently storming ahead of the competition.

If Flowers does bloom at the top of the Official Singles Chart for another week, it would become Miley's longest-running Number 1, and the first to spend more than a week at the summit. She previously hit the top spot with 2013 singles We Can't Stop and Wrecking Ball.

Rising Afrobears star Rema’s breakout hit Calm Down is on the up again, looking to reach a brand-new peak of Number 6.

After weeks of teasing, Headie One’s Martin’s Sofa has finally dropped. The track could be this week's highest new entry - currently projecting a Number 9 debut.

Tiësto and Tate McRae could take 10:35 to new heights (15).

Cian Ducrot’s I Will Be Waiting continues to grow week-on-week and might make a big leap forward, looking set to break the Top 20 for the first time on Friday (19).

1 Miley Cyrus - Flowers

2 Raye feat. 070 Shake - Escapism

3 SZA - Kill Bill

4 Taylor Swift - Anti-Hero

5 Venbee & Goddard - Messy In Heaven

6 Rema - Calm Down

7 Meghan Trainor - Made You Look

8 Central Cee - Let Go

9 Headie One - Martin's Sofa *

10 Oliver Tree & Robin Schulz - Miss You

11 Metro Boomin feat. The Weeknd & 21 Savage - Creepin'

12 Lewis Capaldi - Pointless

13 Miguel - Sure Thing

14 Tom Odell - Another Love

15 Tiësto & Tate McRae - 10:35

16 Anne-Marie & Aitch - Psycho

17 Bugzy Malone & TeeDee - Out Of Nowhere

18 Joel Corry & Tom Grennan - Lionheart (Fearless)

19 Cian Ducrot - I'll Be Waiting

20 David Guetta & Bebe Rexha - I'm Good (Blue)

I'm told that 'PSYCHO' was played during First Look.

Gross, desgusteng, worst song ever etc.

Excitement about Headie One going top 10 broke Buzzjack servers?
We’ve had a different number 1 for 7 weeks now, albeit some songs have reclaimed the number one spot but each weekly chart has had a different song on the top. This is the first time it’s happened since 2014. With how much Flowers is smashing, Miley will be number for a while now!
Here's hoping Måneskin will be the #1 album in the mids (especially so I can swiftly tick off one of my 2023 predictions if they hold on :kink:)
I don't think it's one of the stalest in a while - a new entry in the top 10, another new top 20 hit and two further songs on track for new peaks is pretty decent for a streaming era chart! I assume there'll be more movement in the lower half too which is typical.

Yeah i'd picked up on the turnover of #1 week by week (although obviously not all new #1s), guess we can call that a streaming era record if it's the first time since 2014.
