Music legend Elton John departs next. Of course one of the biggest news stories in 1997 (and any year in fact) was the tragic death of Princess Diana. Elton, a close friend of Diana's, decided to re-write and re-record a version of his 1973 original, itself a tribute song to Marilyn Monroe. Meanwhile Something About The Way You Look Tonight, the first single of Elton's 25th album The Big Picture, was released a week after Diana's passing. Several days later the 2 songs were combined and issued as a double A-side and the rest is history. The single is the best selling in UK Chart history with over 5 million sales and globally has sold over 33 million copes, second in the all-time list to White Christmas.
