Hello and welcome one and all from President Orleé of Terra Avium! Over the next month, our feathered friends will be your gracious hosts in this celebration of music. The last time we part-hosted we were slightly unprepared and in the midst of civil unrest and a Bird Flu pandemic, but we are pleased to say our skies are fully open to all residents this time. You will see all around Terra Avium's wonder throughout this contest and we state in our polar region in the Penguin Plaza, one of our coolest and most popular cafes with the most popular salmon dishes on the isle, home to the Polar Emperor and his ancestors as well as President Orlee's residence himself, it is something of a paradise for those looking at avian regal history. Guests are free to observe a guided tour of the country by our continually migrating Terns as well.

This is the ideal place to talk about what music you have in store for us. Here at Terra Avium, we have a flair for experimental and daring sounds from across the genre spectrum, and we hope to see that here too, don't go cheap or obvious (remember we can vote in both semis and we'll judge xx), like our residents, spread your wings x

We also want to introduce our co-host for the month, because avian kind would be nothing without this 1-inch tall mollusc with enough whimsy, fascination, and resourcefulness to fill the whole Buzzjack world, paying a visit from his AirBnB all the way on Earth and sacrificing Lesley Stahl for this, it's Marcel the Shell with Shoes On!

Marcel will have words of touching wisdom like that for all our competitors throughout the contest. Dates will be revealed soon but I can reveal confirmations will be dropping at a later point this week, prepare for take off x

I'm prepared as I found an incredible potential last night when I couldn't sleep. Jadakissnia are swiftly plunging back into darkness with a huuuuuge sounding witch house song, feels like a good one for a Terra Avium contest. I've already watched the fan-made video for it about 10 times so definitely another one that I'm feeling very strongly about *.*

Time for TARO Bellamia's 100th entry :cheeseblock:

joining you with a round number as it's my 80th (where's time going?!)

after two ~chill~ entries from Danæviia I reckon it's about time we turn up the heat again ...

I've changed my initial plan as I feel that entry could qualify itself (watch me be proven wrong eventually x) and I want to use an AQ wisely, so 90s trip hop will have to wait and instead an epic indie folk song which has some of the best storytelling in any song.

-pretends to understand what that shell thing is a reference to- x

Yass for Terra Avium hosting again *.* currently don't have an entry lined up though so it's either waiting to see if something falls into my lap again or I need to get searching x (or I could send the song I originally planned to send last month I guess but idk I feel like the moment for that passed again now, maybe one day :kink:)

Entry at the ready, hope for some repeat and/or returning voters this time!
Eastovka's original entry for 152 can wait until next contest. Time for a future classic dance song with iconic chorus by some recycled artists.

Looking forward to a Terra contest *.*

I'm currently deciding whether to go with something risky on the 50/50 chance I land up with an AQ, I think Naked Flames would quite possibly have DNQ'd without the AQ, but O.B.I.C I'm sure would have been fine without it, so we'll see.

As seems to be becoming a pattern I don't have a solid plan but there are a couple of possibilities of strong pop-rock I'm weighing up along with the everpresent possibility of delving into a much weirder genre.

but bring on the Terra contest regardless, looking forward to all the birds we're going to see

apparently the artist I plan to send is a previous winner lol, might send it anyway and see what happens. the artist won a few years ago and has only been sent twice before and the song itself is a few years old as well now so hopefully it's not that cheap!
