March 24, 20232 yr Buzzjack hasn’t sent me an email notification that I have a new PM for an insanely long time. I don’t think it works properly However, it does still send me email notifications if I subscribe to topics, as I've discovered since I accidentally subscribed myself to one of the threads in the Politics forum and had to go digging into the deep parts of the User Profile to turn off. :magic: Check if the setting in 'Your control panel' > 'Email Settings' is still on. I know about there being an issue with the system sending validation emails, but I wasn't aware about one with notification emails, though there could well be.

'Send a notification email when I receive a new private message' was ticked, but 'Enable Email Notification by default?' was not, so I ticked that + set it to 'Immediate Email Notification'. No idea if this would help, I guess we'll see in a month or so when i'll get my next reminder :lol: edit: Oh fck no, that's not it :lol: 'Enabling this option will automatically subscribe you to any topic you start or reply to.' I wanna say it was an issue with hotmail Might be an issue on the email provider's end (spam box? or perhaps some other security setting that doesn't like the site email address for some reason?), I just tested with sending a PM to myself, as I don't normally have the setting on myself, and I got an email in my Yahoo Mail box - so it's working for me. I don't know otherwise what could be causing it for you and Frank, sorry.

Changed my email address to my Hungarian freemail.hu address that I pretty much never use, managed to validate, sent a test email and received it straight away. So it's gmail. Then I wanted to change back the email address in my profile... but I can't validate my email address as I don't receive the validation mail :lol: Sooo now I'm using freemail and I will receive reminders to an email address that I never check.
