I think it's different when the UK is actually hosting the final. The effect is obviously bigger than usual.

Omg at Mae and Loreen, looks like both could be coming to chart top ten, as they’re doing so well before the final!

 

I think Mae has a big shot at #1. 40k is not much to sell with the higher home hype and interest of hosting, and the CD singles too. Loving the UK’s newfound love for Eurovision!

Mae will drop like he'll from Monday, the song is poor and is not as universal as Space Man. If she performs like she did for the semi final I cant see it having a shot like Sam did last year.

I would’ve said I wrote a song was way more commercial than Space Man.

 

Space Man fitted Eurovision very well. I can see IWAS doing fairly well in the charts. Although I can see it getting lost in the mix this evening ahead of bigger songs which have more impactful performances

I Wrote A Song to me is a bit like an Anne-Marie song :lol: it’s still better than a lot of our other entries we’ve sent in recent years though but Space Man I’d say felt more universal and different.

 

Loreen coming for another hit is definitely welcome though. I wonder if any entries will have a SNAP like hit as well although that took off a bit after the contest itself didn’t it.

Keeping an eye out for Miley's "Angels Like You" to see if it re-enters the top 200 on spotify soon. It's been going viral in a number of Asian countries and has started entering the top 200 in other countries now (Norway/Ireland/Canada/New Zealand/Chile). It reached a new peak of #31 on global spotify yesterday (#36 today). I assume it'll re-enter once Eurovision effect dies down.

I’m not a fan of I Wrote a Song personally, it’s generic UK dance pop to me and probably wouldn’t trouble the top 200 were it not for Eurovision :lol:
