October 4, 20231 yr I think the bigger question is, will anyone but Taylor ever do 100k albums in a week ever again? Will sales have completely collapsed by the time Adele gets round to releasing another album?
October 4, 20231 yr Id still say Adele will be able to manage it as well. But aside from her I’d say Taylor and Harry like others have said. I would’ve said Ed but I think he’s released too many albums and not took a break long enough to be able to manage it. Other albums I could see pass 100K would be like if Oasis ever reformed which may or may not ever happen. Arctic Monkeys I’d say could do it as well.
October 4, 20231 yr 1989 will definitely do 100k, it’s not far off from preorders alone How do you know that?
October 4, 20231 yr I think Harry Styles could definetly be able to do so for his next release Harry's House opened with 113k. Not sure how many of those were physicals but if album sales continue to collapse he might struggle to reach 100k. Tbh though I feel like album sales are starting to stabilise so I'm not totally convinced they will keep declining at the same rate they have been the past few years. I do think Ed is on a definite decline though, even if he releases a big pop album next year I don't think he'll sell as many as people are expecting him to. It's harder to say with Adele, depends how long she leaves it I guess. Edited October 4, 20231 yr by Mangø

October 4, 20231 yr Yes the public will wake up and see how good Cher Lloyd's debut album actually was and will sell 400k Christmas week Her second album was so much better, it deserved more recognition :(

October 4, 20231 yr Yes the public will wake up and see how good Cher Lloyd's debut album actually was and will sell 400k Christmas week My dream!!! ❤️ love her! Beautiful people no1 for a year straight!
October 4, 20231 yr I can see Taylor smashing 100k+ if it was a new studio album and not a TV album. If anything, it will probably smash 100k+ with streaming included with it being under 100k on sales alone
October 4, 20231 yr Yeah Cher’s 2nd album is incredible. Her debut is a lot of fun too! Such an underrated gem and poor sirens peaking at 41 , ,probably should of been called sorry I'm too late

October 4, 20231 yr I don’t think many albums would manage 100k on physicals alone… Midnights had around 146k pure sales when it reached number 1 last year and Arctic Monkeys also had around 108k pure sales that week when they got number 2. That was the last time that albums passed 100k pure sales in its first week
October 4, 20231 yr Her second album was so much better, it deserved more recognition :( Yes, honestly SO much better and such a cut above the stuff on her first album. It's such a shame nobody cared by that point :(
October 5, 20231 yr I think Coldplay may dip below 100k with their next one, but I wouldn’t completely rule them out.
October 5, 20231 yr was also thinking Coldplay if they came back with a brilliant single just checked and last album Music of the Spheres did 101K and I think they could do it again if they play they multvariant game
