Born David Orobosa Omoregie in Brixton, London in 1998, Dave suddenly implanted himself in the UK rap scene in 2016, first with the electric grime alliance “Thiago Silva” with AJ Tracey and then when Drake jumped on the remix of the velvety “Wanna Know” from Dave’s first EP, Six Paths. Rebuffing label advances to pursue his career independently, he demonstrated a self-reliant streak on releases such as his 2017 EP Game Over, whose “Question Time,” a scathing attack on Theresa May’s Conservative government, garnered him an Ivor Novello songwriting award. Dave’s full-length debut, the Mercury Prize winner Psychodrama, followed in 2019; epitomizing his achingly honest rap style, it laid bare personal vulnerabilities while challenging institutional racism in a provocative fashion rarely heard in British rap. The centerpiece of the lavishly soundscaped album was “Black,” a heart-wrenching portrait of the prejudice affronting Black lives. At the 2020 BRIT Awards, where Psychodrama won Album of the Year, Dave started his performance of “Black” by accompanying himself on piano and ended it by excoriating British Prime Minister Boris Johnson as a “real racist” and executing a perfect mic drop. - Apple Music Central Cee Central Cee is proving himself to be one of London’s most exciting emerging artists. Whilst only just turning 22, the rapper had already released a slew of solid tracks in addition to a powerful Next Up Freestyle on Mixtape Madness reflecting the rising star’s versatility and distinctive delivery. Building on this foundation, in 2020, Central Cee has gone from strength to strength dropping two singles ‘Day In A Life’ and ‘Molly’, with both tracks having racked up 8 million audio streams collectively. The heat surrounding Central Cee along with some killer short freestyle videos showcasing Central Cee’s lyrical abilities has led to him doubling his instagram following in a matter of months (currently 135K). He’s also gained support from various artists at home and abroad including a co-sign from US rapper Big Sean. Music has been an integral part of Central Cee’s upbringing, dating back to the tender age of 8. His eagerness to create his own musical legacy is deeply rooted within his earliest memories of absorbing the rich sounds of his dad's old school hip hop collection. - Spotify Top 100 Chart History Dave 2017 51 Wanna Know (feat. They were in the studio in Sweden working on “What Makes You Beautiful”. First single, the rollercoaster train just starting to climb the track. Someone comes into the room and says there are a couple of girls outside. Why? the band asks. They’re looking for you guys. For One Direction. “And we’re all just like, ‘But we’re in Sweden!’” Ah, the old, “who…us?” routine. Harry! Incorrigibly charming, dreamboat for starry-eyed youth the world over. And, as it turns out, a legitimate force in pop, the kind of artist who could bridge contemporary appeal with classic values in ways that felt fresh but familiar, universal. Part of what had made One Direction so great was that they never shied away from the pleasures of boy-band pop, but never patronised their audiences or fell back on gimmicks, either: Never mind the no-dancing policy; they were writing songs, exploring music as something beyond the show. In his solo career, Styles (born 1994, in Redditch, England) has done much the same, combining soul (“Watermelon Sugar”), confessional soft rock (“Sign of the Times”) and psychedelia (“Sunflower, Vol. 6”) with a modern touch, summarising where pop has been while also pushing it forward. “I’m just trying to go through life being a little less worried about stuff,” he said. “Definitely with working. Because ultimately, it’ll be okay.” He had a busy five years there. But he’s got a lifetime ahead of him. - Apple Music Top 100 Chart History 2017 01 Sign Of The Times -1- MILLIONAIRE 2017 46 Sweet Creature -IG- 2017 51 Carolina -AT- 2017 58 Two Ghosts -2- 2017 64 Meet Me In The Hallway -AT- 2017 66 Kiwi -3- 2017 80 Only Angel -AT- 2017 87 Ever Since New York -AT- 2017 99 Woman -AT- 2019 03 Lights Up -1- 2019 04 Watermelon Sugar -4- MILLIONAIRE 2019 07 Adore You -2- MILLIONAIRE 2019 15 Falling -3- MILLIONAIRE 2020 26 Golden -5- 2022 01 As It Was -1- MILLIONAIRE 2022 02 Late Night Talking -2- 2022 03 Music For A Sushi Restaurant -3- 2022 37 Matilda -AT- 2023 18 Satellite -4- 2 x #1 | 6 x Top 5 | 7 x Top 10 | 9 x Top 20 | 11 x Top 40 | 19 x Top 100 Social Media Harry Styles http://i.imgur.com/1SERq1f.png http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/uploads/group_images/of_233.png

Adjusted for inflation, you’re talking about something more like $25,000. But John had a show to put on, and wouldn’t that be something to talk about? The excess was always apparent: the rhinestones, the costumery, the old Hollywood glamour retrofitted for a new, gender-bending world. But beneath the feathers, John’s music—written with the lyricist Bernie Taupin—was direct and unpretentious, the kind of rock ’n’ roll storytelling that met you where you were. Even if you didn’t know exactly what it meant—who is the dancer, and why are they so tiny?—the feeling was immediate, universal. By 1973’s Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, John said they were writing a couple of songs at breakfast and recording them before lunch. This was pop music, John argued: You weren’t supposed to think about it too much, and god help you if you did. And yet here we are, singing the songs five decades later. Born Reginald Dwight in Pinner, England, in 1947, John took to the piano young, studying on a scholarship at the Royal Academy of Music while obsessively listening to Jerry Lee Lewis and Little Richard. They were so physical, John marvelled—they didn’t just play the piano, they beat it. He started playing in pubs at 15 and, around 20, met Taupin through a want ad in a music magazine. There were good years and bad ones, highs and lows—that handful of Valium before jumping into the swimming pool in 1975, for example, or the disco album, which John himself described as jumping on a dying bandwagon—but he has always endured, emerging from the debauchery of the ’70s and redefinitions of the ’80s bruised but never beaten, a gay icon, AIDS activist, philanthropist, Knight Bachelor, and father of two. In 2018, nearly 50 years after his debut album, he embarked on a three-year farewell tour, and published his first autobiography, Me, in 2019. The host of Apple Music 1’s Rocket Hour, Elton has been the recipient of countless awards (Grammys, Oscars, BRITs, Tonys, Ivors), has been knighted by Queen Elizabeth II and, in 2020, was awarded the Companion of Honour. - Apple Music Dua Lipa There’s purpose in Dua Lipa’s euphoric pop. “For me, it’s about championing women and putting ourselves in the position of power,” the singer told Apple Music in 2020, ahead of the release of her second album, Future Nostalgia. “I have been inspired by the female alphas that have shown me that we can do it. And that we can wear the pants, you know? We need more of that in music.” Forcing the world to get a little more comfortable with female alphas has been a mission statement for Lipa (born in London to Kosovar Albanian parents in 1995) since her 2017 self-titled debut. It housed the triumphant breakup smash “New Rules”, the self-love anthem “IDGAF” and the assured “Hotter Than Hell”—songs which made it clear that this was no ingénue, but rather an outspoken, effortlessly cool face of pop’s future. Indeed, that status was cemented a year later when Lipa made history as the first female solo artist to receive five BRIT Award nominations. She won two and, in 2019, added two Grammys to her mantelpiece. Despite the success of her debut, Lipa wasn’t interested in recreating its hits. “People always say, ‘The second album is really scary,’ but for me, it’s more scary to go back into the studio and try to create something like ‘New Rules’ or ‘IDGAF’ over and over again,” she said. “I feel like I’d end up in a vicious cycle of trying to get somewhere but never being able to mature as an artist.” And so, to move forward, she pivoted to the past, drawing on disco and funk—and filtering it through her ahead-of-its-time pop—to arrive at Future Nostalgia. Decadent and every bit as empowering as those early hits, it brought Lipa her first Mercury Prize nod, multiple Grammy nominations and a rightful place in pop’s upper echelons. And with it, too, came Lipa’s new purpose. Released just as the world went into lockdown amid the coronavirus crisis, Future Nostalgia became an urgent tonic for tough times—danced to in living rooms across the world. Yet Lipa wasn’t done there: Five months later, she unveiled Club Future Nostalgia, a thrilling remixed version on which the singer teamed up with club queen The Blessed Madonna, and guests including Madonna, Missy Elliott, Gwen Stefani and Mark Ronson, to bring lockdown-fatigued listeners another dose of escapism. “I didn’t think I’d be putting albums out during a global pandemic,” added Lipa. “But it’s just about creating experiences for everyone at home. That’s the most important thing for me now.” All of this, of course, is only just the beginning. “I really feel like I’m finding my feet,” said Lipa. “I feel so proud of Future Nostalgia as a whole and the most confident and the most myself making it. But I’m already planning the next move.” - Apple Music Top 100 Chart History Elton John 1971 04 Your Song -1- MILLIONAIRE 1972 02 Rocket Man -1- MILLIONAIRE 1972 31 Honky Cat -2- 1972 05 Crocodile Rock -1- 1973 04 Daniel -2- 1973 07 Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting -1*- 1973 06 Goodbye Yellow Brick Road -2*- 1973 08 Step Into Christmas -NAS- MILLIONAIRE 1974 11 Candle In The Wind -3*- 1974 16 Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me -1- 1974 15 The Bitch Is Back -2- 1974 10 Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds -NAS- 1975 12 Philadelphia Freedom (The Elton John Band) -NAS- 1975 22 Someone Saved My Life Tonight -1- 1975 14 Island Girl -1- 1976 07 Pinball Wizard -OST- 1976 01 Don't Go Breaking My Heart (Elton John & Kiki Dee) -NAS- MILLION SELLER 1976 37 Benny And The Jets -4*- 1976 11 Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word -1- 1977 27 Crazy Water -2- 1977 28 Bite Your Lip / Chicago (Elton John & Kiki Dee) -3- 1978 34 Ego -NAS- 1978 15 Part Time Love -1- 1978 04 Song For Guy -2- 1979 01 Are You Ready For Love -1- 1980 33 Little Jeannie -1- 1980 44 Sartorial Eloquence (Don't Ya Wanna Play This Game No More?) -2- 1981 40 I Saw Her Standing There (The Elton John Band & John Lennon) -NAS- 1981 42 Nobody Wins -1- 1982 08 Blue Eyes -1- 1982 51 Empty Garden (Hey Hey Johnny) -2- 1983 05 I Guess That's Why They Call It The Blues -1- 1983 04 I'm Still Standing -2- MILLIONAIRE 1983 20 Kiss The Bride -3- 1983 33 Cold As Christmas (In The Middle Of The Year) -4- 1984 07 Sad Songs (Say So Much) -1- 1984 05 Passengers -2- 1984 50 Who Wears These Shoes? -3- 1985 59 Breaking Hearts (Ain't What It Used To Be) -4- 1985 32 Act Of War (Elton John & Millie Jackson) -NAS- 1985 03 Nikita -1- 1985 12 Wrap Her Up -2- 1986 47 Cry To Heaven -3- 1986 45 Heartache All Over The World -1- 1986 44 Slow Rivers (Elton John & Cliff Richard) -2- 1987 59 Flames Of Paradise (Jennifer Rush & Elton John) 1987 85 Your Song (Live) -1- 1988 05 Candle In The Wind (Live) -2- 1988 30 I Don't Wanna Go On With You Like That -1- 1988 74 Town Of Plenty -2- 1988 91 A Word In Spanish -3- 1989 41 Through The Storm (Aretha Franklin & Elton John) 1989 45 Healing Hands -1- 1989 55 Sacrifice -2- 1990 01 Sacrifice / Healing Hands -3- 1990 47 Club At The End Of The Street / Whispers -4- 1990 33 You Gotta Love Someone -1- 1990 63 Easier To Walk Away -2- 1991 01 Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me (George Michael & Elton John) -1^- 1992 10 The One -1- 1992 31 Runaway Train (Elton John & Eric Clapton) -OST- 1992 21 The Last Song -2- 1993 44 Simple Life -3- 1993 02 True Love (Elton John & Kiki Dee) -2^- 1994 07 Don't Go Breaking My Heart (Elton John & RuPaul) -3^- 1994 24 Ain't Nothing Like The Real Thing (Marcella Detroit & Elton John) -4^- 1994 14 Can You Feel The Love Tonight -OST- 1994 11 Circle Of Life -OST- 1995 15 Believe -1- 1995 18 Made In England -2- 1996 33 Please -3- 1997 01 Something About The Way You Look Tonight / Candle In The Wind '97 -1- MILLION SELLER 1998 16 Recover Your Soul -2- 1998 32 If The River Can Bend -3- 1999 10 Written In The Stars (Elton John & LeAnn Rimes) -1- 2001 09 I Want Love -1- 2002 24 This Train Don't Stop There Anymore -2- 2002 39 Original Sin -3- 2002 01 Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word (Blue feat. Born Michael Ebenazer Kwadjo Omari Owuo Jr. in 1993, Stormzy was still a boy when grime was in its infancy, and he came up battling fellow teens at youth centers in his native Croydon, London. By the time he was 20, he had launched his “WickedSkengMan” series, uploading freestyles over classic grime beats, and he swiftly developed a rep for his tough staccato flow and pugnacious attitude. Fittingly, Stormzy performed his 2015 single “Shut Up,” one of his earliest hits, at a heavyweight boxing match. “I set trends, dem man copy/They catch feelings, I catch bodies,” he raps on the song, and it’s true that when he throws down the gauntlet, he tends to make history: 2015’s “WickedSkengMan 4” was the first freestyle ever to break into the UK Top 40, and in 2017, his debut album, Gang Signs & Prayer, was the first grime album to go to No. 1 in the UK charts, 14 years after Dizzee Rascal’s Mercury Prize-winning Boy in da Corner first carved out a space in UK pop for the upstart underground genre. But Stormzy quicky proved himself interested in more than just besting his rivals, instead using his platform to become the voice of conscience for young and marginalized people across the UK. At Glastonbury 2017, he delivered a moving tribute to the victims of that summer’s Grenfell Tower fire; at the 2018 BRIT Awards, he aimed a scathing freestyle at Prime Minister Theresa May, whose government he accused of negligence after the fire. Musically, too, Stormzy has shown a willingness to push beyond grime’s traditional limits, dipping into R&B and gospel as he vacillates between taunts and introspection. “I would be a bit fake if I just gave you pure grime albums,” Stormzy told Apple Music. “I’m going to embrace my musicality because that is true to me as well. I love melody and I love R&B and I love pop music. That same year, Ella’s debut album, ‘Chapter One,’ (Salaam Remi, Babyface, Steve Mac, TMS) spawned her first Platinum selling album, making her one of only 3 UK artists to break Platinum in 2014. A revered artist, in 2015 Ella received two prestigious BRIT Award nominations for 'Best British Female' and 'Best British Single', rounding off the year with a landmark sell-out UK headline tour, which included two shows at London’s Shepherd’s Bush Empire. Following a whirlwind few years, Ella returned to the studio to being work on her next project. During the process she continued to collaborate with some of the biggest names in music, appearing on hits produced by superstar DJ’s Kygo and Sigma. She also returned to the live stage, touring with the likes of Take That, James Arthur and Rudimental, the latter of whom signed her to a new record deal with their label Major Toms/Asylum. For Ella, this marked a brand new start. “I want it to be fresh,” says the 23-year-old. “The industry's changed so drastically since I last released music over four years ago. I want to embrace that. Born Onika Tanya Maraj in Trinidad and Tobago in 1982 but raised mostly in Queens, Minaj attended Manhattan’s prestigious LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts (the inspiration for the movie Fame) before trying to make it as an actor— a past evidenced by the deep performative streak that runs through her music today. Turning to rap in her twenties, Minaj quickly became one of the brightest stars in Lil’ Wayne’s Young Money universe. Her work—shapeshifting, ferocious, cartoonish, and often filled with oddball voices and alter egos—is as capable of breaking hearts (“Super Bass”) as it is detaching heads (her breakout verse on Kanye West’s 2010 “Monster,” in which she arguably outshined both West and fellow guest Jay-Z). Minaj’s electrifying presence has also made her a secret weapon in the pop world, where she's just as likely to share credits with David Guetta and Justin Bieber as Ludacris and Future. On top of her own success, Minaj helped rap—and rap audiences—look past narratives of gritty realism for something fluid and playful, but no less genuine or powerful. Railing against the double standard faced by women in entertainment, the outspoken Minaj once told MTV, “You have to be a beast. That’s the only way they respect you.” - Apple Music Ice Spice Bronx rapper Ice Spice brings slick flows and abundant attitude on powerful drill beats. She started rapping in 2021 and was signed with Virgin subsidiary label 10K Projects the next year on the strength of her viral track "Munch (Feelin' U)." Capitalizing on her overnight success, Ice Spice compiled several singles and some new material into the EP release Like..?, which she released in January 2023. - Apple Music Top 100 Chart History Nicki Minaj 2010 71 Your Love -1- 2010 100 What's Wrong With Them (Lil Wayne feat. July 14, 20233 yr 27 | 26 | 9th week Lil Durk featuring J. Cole All My Life 1st single from Almost Healed Released: 12th May 2023 Label: Alamo Records Chart Statistics NE (25/05/2023) | 17-16-14-16-19-23-24-26-27 Sales: 100k+ Certification: - Status: Standard Chart Ratio 67 Sales 21 Audio Streaming 08 Video Streaming Video Z4N8lzKNfy4 Biography Back in the early 2010s, Durk Banks was just another rapper making his way in Chicago drill, a bleak, diamond-hard variant on trap that channeled the city’s culture of violence into unlikely anthems. Drill—and the label frenzy that surrounded it—faded, but Durk evolved, becoming one of the rare rappers able to make the leap from regional fame to the mainstream without diluting his street appeal. Painful, raw, but eerily pretty, Durk’s music can turn death threats into nursery rhymes (“Die Slow”) and coax shades of suffering from Auto-Tune that make even the slickest productions breathe with vulnerability (“Turn Myself In”). He doesn’t sugarcoat it. But you get the sense he isn’t putting on too much of a show, either. Born in Chicago in 1992, Durk started rapping in his teens, building local popularity through mixtapes before landing on Def Jam in 2012. His debut album, Remember My Name, came out in 2015, followed by Lil Durk 2X. Though he forged his reputation on drill, Durk proved unexpectedly versatile, a rapper who could slip between dead-eyed rawness and Auto-Tuned melodicism, and handle a love song (“India,” “My Beyoncé”) without making it sound like it was a mandate from the label. He left Def Jam in 2018, asserting his independence on a spate of mixtapes before joining Geffen Records with 2020’s Just Cause Y’all Waited 2. - Apple Music Top 100 Chart History Lil Durk 2020 04 Laugh Now Cry Later (Drake feat. Cyrus could’ve been speaking about any number of moments from her profoundly varied career. Born Destiny Hope Cyrus—the daughter of country singer Billy Ray Cyrus—in Tennessee in 1992, the innovative artist has hardly stayed in one lane for more than a single album since she broke from the bubblegum pop that catapulted her to stardom as Disney’s Hannah Montana. Her 2009 summer anthem “Party In the U.S.A.” earned her a rapid ascent within the pop world, where 2013’s Bangerz—which showcased her musical maturity with “Wrecking Ball” and experimented with elements of Dirty South hip-hop—made her an icon. Vocal about her pansexuality and love for marijuana, Cyrus has worked hard to shed her wholesome teen image, and simultaneously defied odds by earning a reputation for an intense work ethic and an unshakable self-assuredness. She headed to left-field with the psych-tinged 2015 album Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz, a collaboration with members of The Flaming Lips, and with 2017’s Younger Now, a countrified pop offering that featured godmother Dolly Parton. And she's teamed up with rappers Mike Will Made It and will.i.am, Sarah Barthel of electronic rock group Phantogram, and, in 2018, Mark Ronson for the dramatic hit single “Nothing Breaks Like a Heart.” Those frequent partnerships have been major catalysts in the creation of Cyrus' diverse catalog and in the cementing of her status as a pop pace-setter by refusing to let it, or herself, be easily defined. - Apple Music Top 100 Chart History 2007 43 The Best Of Both Worlds (Hannah Montana) -OST- 2008 11 See You Again -1- 2008 25 7 Things -1- 2009 16 Fly On The Wall -2- 2009 11 The Climb -OST- 2009 18 Hoedown Throwdown -OST- 2009 78 Butterfly Fly Away -OST- 2009 90 Ice Cream Freeze (Let's Chill) (Hannah Montana) -OST- 2009 11 Party In The USA -1- MILLIONAIRE 2010 79 When I Look At You -2- 2010 13 Can't Be Tamed -1- 2010 93 Ordinary Girl (Hannah Montana) -OST- 2013 34 Fall Down (will.i.am feat.
