July 28, 20232 yr I would think a few people a the least have sadly only discovered it now to the sad passing of Sinead but hopefully more and more peoplee discover it and also many of her other songs as so much of her work is underrated. This is a rebel song is a song ive always adored by her and it seems more poignant than ever now. Surely even younger people would have heard ‘Nothing Compares’ its quite culturally embedded!

July 28, 20232 yr In fairness I probably didn’t know names of songs until my later teens even if I’d heard them. By the age of 30 most will know them if they have any interest in music at all!

Kate Bush’s RUTH was played in the olympics in 2012 and re entered the charts then. 10 years later, it smashed all over the world despite the somewhat recent exposure. I’m not comparing RUTH to NC2U, however I feel there will be a lot of younger people who hadn’t heard the song until now meaning it could become big again. Perhaps unlikely but you never know! It’s quite interesting how old music can be reinvented by younger generations and then released again.
