July 26, 20232 yr I think this week will end up #2 Olivia, #3 Billie, #4 Dua, but it could be close for #2 & #3. Just realised Dua has peaked at every position in the Top 10 except #7 - she'll definitely go higher than that (I'd forgotten Electricity peaked at #4).
July 26, 20232 yr This is how it felt worrying about Physical ever peaking in the top 10, then the album came out and it suddenly soared comfortably into the top 10. Still thrilled though, Dance The Night took a few listens to hit me but since it has, it hasn’t worn off at all. It’s not doing anything special per se, but it’s just a wonderfully feel good song.

July 26, 20232 yr What impresses me most with Dua is her songs/hits having longevity...like at first her hits start just fine and then 3 months later they become huge hits for additional 3-4 months...maybe I am exaggerating a bit but I definitely remember that happening with New Rules, DSN, Physical, Levitating and Cold Heart!!!

Yeah, I guess it's unusual for female pop stars (and I guess a lot of UK rap songs and some miscellaneous fanbase-driven acts like BTS and Drake), but that's the standard behaviour for the other 75% of the music in the charts, like take a look at most of the dance songs, alternative songs, US hip hop songs, etc, and it's the same, if not even more extreme than with Dua Lipa's songs.
