RE: Getaway Car

Apparently reputation wasn’t put on Spotify until a few months after it was released and hence most tracks didn’t actually chart back in 2017.

Also this is probably gonna cause some controversy, but the non-Taylor’s Version of Wildest Dreams is a lot better so I’m not surprised that one’s charting

There's actually quite a bit of discussion about that, cos of the original producers of Wildest Dreams was Max Martin... but he was nor producer of the TV.

Same with the key tracks from Red (We re never ever, I knew you were trouble,22)... and a lot of people are complaining and saying they're into as good cos it lacks the Max Martin production spark. Since he produced most of 1989, the big question is if he's gonna be producer in 1989 TV or not.

Oh okay, glad it’s not just me who holds that opinion. It’s a shame cos the original Wildest Dreams is possibly my favourite Taylor song

I think the new one is better, but anyway it’s doing much better cause the whole world listened to the full album yesterday, that’s why.

I suspect the main key point is that you're far more likely to find someone who just streamed "1989" from top to bottom, than someone who streamed their own temporary custom version of "1989" that has the new version of "Wildest Dreams" in replacement. I frequently forget that was already released!

Taylor:

05. Cruel Summer

14. Style UP 22

21. Anti-Hero UP 4

22. Blank Space UP 28

45. Shake It Off UP 64

50. august DOWN 1

52. Karma UP 7

56. I Can See You (Taylor's Version) (From The Vault) UP 9

60. cardigan NON-MOVER

67. Don't Blame Me UP 13

93. New Romantics NEW ENTRY

95. Wildest Dreams RE-ENTRY

96. Out Of The Woods NEW ENTRY

185. Getaway Car RE-ENTRY

195. All You Had To Do Was Stay NEW ENTRY

I look forward to seeing how this increased streaming impacts 1989 in next week's album chart! Could it be enough for it to return to the Top 5? The last time it was Top 5 was 17th July 2015 (which was its 15th week in the Top 5, and 38th week in the chart).

107. Taylor Swift- Bad Blood

185. Taylor Swift- Getaway Car

199. Luke Combs- Fast Car

200. TLC- No Scrubs

i do really enjoy dance the night, its such a bop! and though i would be happy for it to be the next #1, it feels kinda... wrong that this could be a #1 when nothing from future nostalgia managed it. idk i feel like fn was robbed so hard cos so many of the singles deserved #1 from it

Dance The Night is a decent song and catchy enough that I keep coming back to it despite not being an all-time Dua fave, but for sure Future Nostalgia deserved mutliple No.1 singles and had none :(

I think I marginally prefer the Billie song but would be very happy with either getting to No.1.
