Totally - her recent album was album for £18 on CD plus delivery from a few online retailers, I’d say next to nobody outside of her core fanbase and here would even know it had been released.

Would anyone outside of her 'core fanbase' even care about an Anastacia album in 2023?

Why is Calm Down back in the top 40? Did it get a reset?

It's never been far outside so could easily just come down to random fluctuations in the market (possible the fact that Heart have only just started playing it might be giving it a small push too).

Define "released properly" though? From what I understand, both the CD and vinyl are available in the UK from the Townsend website. So I guess it's just a lack of awareness/promotion that's hindering it?

Thode are import sales. Tou can even get Buffy the Vampire Slayer's rofk pst on import :ol: But it was never released here - no promo, no stock made specifically, etc

And omfg you're reet tbh!!! Chewsy Fad did have an album out this year, and I alreasy can' remember it, or the cheese slice singles!! What an FLOPPAGE!!!! :cheeseblock: Omfg he is OVER.

Can’t wait to see what the sales difference between PTTR and Strangers is later on. I hope it’s small enough for the latter to overtake by Friday
The album hasn't been physically released outside German speaking countries. It is a German songs cover album. It's doing quite well there with #2 in Germany.

Even in Italy, her most supportive country since always, the project didn't enter the chart.

She is 55y old and she is not a Streaming artist, it would have been impossible for her to enter the chart just with streaming and iTunes considering how weak are digital sales nowadays.

The album has been bought by fans, outside Germany, through her website or Amazon.de

Since last Thursday (last tracking day) the album became available in the UK or in Italy on their national Amazon but considering that the no one is aware of this and fans have already their copies I'm quite sure it won't enter the chart either.

Same thing also with It's a Man's World and Evolution I believe? That'll be why her only charting album in the last few years was the Greatest Hits

Definitely interested to see what the sales gap is looking like now and if there's any chance Kenya could pull it off this week.

I sadly think Doja is still ahead on most other platforms, I think it'll be Dojas to take :(.

My ideal would be Kenya this week and Tate the following

Too close to call between Kenya and Doja!

That's quite some drop for Beverley Knight from Monday :o

Mae’s album up to #26 is a surprise. More signed copies added than we thought maybe?

I reckon it will still end up outside the top 40, but hopefully she can get a top 50 placing..

Interesting to see Lana and HAIM both being higher today than on Monday too (10 places higher for the latter) - maybe there was more data missing than usual on Monday? Good for Mae though, seems she will be spared dropping right to the low end of the top 100 at least, I could see her staying top 40 now.

I was half expecting to see Jung Kook closing in on #1 today since he had a bunch of extra versions added to iTunes since the previous update but normality restored, I assume it was just some physicals not being included for the First Look chart giving the illusion of a climb from Sunday to Monday.

Great to see Tyla now in the top 10 and SUICIDAL-IDOL and Jungle both top 40, fingers crossed for those to hold until Friday! (I wonder if Radio 1 will even be allowed to say the name SUICIDAL-IDOL - or the song title for that matter - on air... definitely at least half expecting the song to never get a play but we'll see)

Mae's push the past couple of days has been incredible, she has rose to #3 on ITunes in past hour by offering to DM voice notes to everyone who can show they have brought a copy and is signing vinyls and CDs on her insta live sat in Banquet record store with the link attached so people can buy a copy and request any message and she is doing them as the orders were coming in having a laugh and joke about messages being requested she is doing the same again tmrw
Andrew Cushin did a bunch of album signings and pushed to #1 spot on iTunes earlier today, so hopefully his sales and chart position will reflect that.

I think she may have released a new cassette midweek too.

Relieved for her - looking like going top 40 now.

The gap has grown. I think it is too big a gap to overcome.

Just another parallel between PinkPantheress and Kenya Grace - even with Kenya overtaking on Spotify, she's still too far behind on other platforms (except with Doja instead of Miley this time) so not actually closing the gap. Although this time Kenya will have a fair chance of getting the #1 by default due to Doja going to ACR next week.

Mitski heading for the top 20 :o insane!

Suicidal Idol would make for quite a left-field top 40 entry, i assume its existence will just never be acknowledged by the chart show presenters? lmao
