Gosh, that's interesting that Yaeger missed the top ten - was easily my favourite in this selection but has me doubting its BJSC chances a bit, I had it down as a possible winner.

 

Not displeased with the result for He Stranger, it felt like it really stood out as a very old sounding song :lol:

 

Thanks Ansel for hosting - fab spin-off, lots to love here, although definitely a few that missed the theme completely imo.

Absolutely chuffed with 4th place for a last minute back-up!! Think that's my third best result here after a 2nd and 3rd place in the past.

 

Congrats uhsting :clap: gave your entry 7 points so pretty pleased with that as a winner. Just realised I am sandwiched between my 12 and 10, oh my *.*

I guess that's that. I cannot be certain I'll be back in the next PFSC. I thought this theme was super cool and I got ideas of what to enter.

 

I mean, I don't have to force myself to participate in a lot of contests (it can be hard to be comfortable/confident about my choices).

Congrats uhsting! Fantastic entry and I certainly can't complain at all my top 3 being in the top 5, I voted for all but two in the top 10, and they were both very close so you could certainly call that a spooktacular result x

 

Happy with 14th as it's a lot better than how I was doing earlier and is a bit better than how Divine Creature fared, Up with French forever x

Congratulations uhsting :cheer: your entry was just outside my votes and I voted for everything from 2nd-9th, so a great set of results overall!

 

I found my entry a while ago and had to enter it somewhere just because of the title (another story), so a bit of shoehorning, but I didn't think it was as far off-theme as some were suggesting :mellow: plus this may be me being out of touch, but I thought a "pop bop" would need to be reasonably uptempo - I had another much darker but slower song in mind for a Halloween type contest which I thought less appropriate to this particular theme, but maybe I'll save that for another time... anyhoo my record of either top 7 or missing the top 20 for song contests in 2023 continues (6 of the former, 11 of the latter), thank you to Addy for 6 points, and the other 6 voters.

9th is MUCH better than I thought I was gonna get so I'm taking that and the 12 swap from Travis and heading to the bank! Thanks to everyone who pointed bludnymph!

I'm fine with 22nd and happy that five people voted for 'Follow Me'. I'd originally saved it for BJSC but I think this result shows it would've done poorly there. Glad I shared it here instead, I think it fit the theme well but apols if anyone disagrees.

 

This was the first Halloween or Halloween-adjacent contest I've taken part in, but hopefully not the last! Thanks Ansel for hosting!
