I’d love if by some miracle Popular could finally go top 10. Madonna deserves it!

Also worth noting that on the global chart, Mariah & Wham! are still #1 and #2 today, but Wham! are only 30k behind which might be the closest I’ve ever seen it. I wonder if Wham! can get a global day at #1 for the first time next year

Wham! are ahead of Mariah on the global chart today at #21 and #22 respectively. First time this has ever happened?

Popular is one of the songs with more lasting playlist support I can recall,

it's been super high on HH for the last 6 months, even now it's still quite high all things considered

Mariah suffers after Xmas, as it's about wanting FOR Christmas which has just been

no they won’t - please refer to the faq thread about January resets

They didn’t hit ACR in December

They didn’t hit ACR in December
The point was the 25% increase rule is suspended for the first week in January, so songs which went to ACR before December won't get reset that week, regardless of how much they increase by.
Oooh, Pink Friday Girls overtaking Everybody. I prefer the latter but would be happy to see either of them (or both if possible!) go top 40/smash.
this Saltburn thing must be good for it to be boosting a pop classic like MOTD back into the top 20 already

Its in a key scene of the movie

Not background music

Really surprised there are no more new releases today

Back in the day many were taking advantage of the post xmas lull

ie Iron Maiden-Bring your daughter to the slaughter reaching @1

At least the lack of newies means 100% sure #1 for Stick season

This week has been the deadest for new releases of the year for a good few years now, it's just one of the new traditions of the streaming era, because it's between Xmas and NYE

What happened to that AC/DC campaign?

Yay for Sophie! ‘Saltburn’ is excellent and the song is used incredibly well. Also, I’m not surprised it’s having an effect. There are 3 key scenes that people will talk about for a while with that movie and the Sophie scene is one of them! One of the wildest movies I have seen in a while!
