Wham!'s Last Christmas seems likely to remain at #1, with potential new entries from Fred again.. & Baby Keem with Leavemealone and Lyrical Lemonade, Dave & Jack Harlow's Stop Giving Me Advice. There's also new singles out from Griff, Green Day, Tems, Alec Benjamin, FLETCHER, IDLES and The Krackpots

 

A handful of notable releases on the albums front with Nicki Minaj's fifth record Pink Friday 2, Tate McRae's sophomore album THINK LATER and The Killers' latest hits set Rebel Diamonds - plus Kylie Minogue with Extension and Alison Goldfrapp with The Love Reinvention

- Sunday: Official First Look Chart on Radio 1 from 6-7pm. Please do not post spoilers on the forum in advance as this ruins the countdown for any listeners.

- Tuesday: Top 40 update as and when we receive them with requests, this is NOT 100% guaranteed however. The OCC may publish sales flashes of their own accord but likewise, this is not guaranteed. Twitter and social media is your friend for today. Please post any information you find with a source. Do not nag for updates, we will post a top 40 update if we receive one.

What’s the expectations for the album chart this week? Is Nicki a lock for #1 or do the Killers have a shout?

I think it’ll most likely be Bublé, with The Killers having an outside shot. It’s hard to tell what their sales will be like, it wasn’t announced that long ago.

 

I assume the Direct Hits streaming sales (well, some of them anyway as some DH tracks aren’t there) will get moved to this album?

I don't think Nicki will be particularly close to #1 tbh - her last album in 2018 only did just over 10k first week, I can't see this one doing much better than that, it's hardly dominating on streaming and the physical edition only contains 10 of its 22 songs lol. I imagine it'll be The Killers. Won't sell as well as their studio albums obviously but surely they have enough of a dedicated fanbase to pretty easily shift the 15k or so they'll need.

I love cowboy Christmas ball, that one def deserved to have been a hit. I'd love if they get another number 1 album this week.

I thought there was only 1 physical format…

 

The similar extended versions of her Disco album didn’t trouble the top so I don’t see why this would be different.
