The GH question was bound to be somewhat ambiguous but I count at least 30  (plus 3 more edge cases Cliff Richard, The Smiths 'Hatful Of Hollow' and Bing Crosby which may or may not fit the description of 'greatest hits'). A couple of these aren't immediately obvious from the title I guess!

It was the first 27 of these I counted. I have zero interest in that XXXTentacion thing, so I had no idea that was a GH. Nirvana I just carelessly overlooked, and I didn't realise the Nicki Minaj album was a GH. I did look up Cliff Richard but Wikipedia lists it as a studio album so I didn't count it. However, in the interests of accuracy, I will revise the answer to that question to 30 and recalculate the points, it's all done by spreadsheet so won't take long. Thanks for pointing this out!

In light of Bré pointing out the three GH collections I missed, I've recalculated the results for that question...

Q4. How many greatest hits collections will be in the top 100?

So the revised answer to this is 30, which means we have a different winner for that question :kink: but will this affect the overall results? We shall find out shortly :P

Dobbo - 30 (0 out) - 10 points

LewisGT - 29 (1 out) - 7 points

Riser - 31 (1 out) - 7 points

rio309 - 27 (3 out) - 4 points

Bjork - 33 (3 out) - 4 points

jimwatts - 27 (3 out) - 4 points

JulianT - 27 (3 out) - 4 points

Maestro - 24 (6 out) - 0 points

paulgilb - 20 (10 out) - 0 points

PeteFromLeeds - 19 (11 out) - 0 points

Roba - 19 (11 out) - 0 points

Jord - 13 (17 out) - 0 points

chrissmith276 - 12 (18 out) - 0 points

conorw - 48 (18 out) - 0 points

LiamSime - 8 (22 out) - 0 points

And now for the scores. Sorry that the delivery of these results has been a bit erratic but it's been a busy weekend so I've had to fit them in when I could.

It turns out that the revision to the answer to the above question doesn't change the order of the top 3, although a couple of the lower down positions did get swapped around.

The final scores are as follows...

1. jimwatts - 72 points

2. JulianT - 69 points

3. Bjork - 66 points

4. Riser - 55 points

5. Maestro - 52 points

6. rio309 - 49 points

7. LiamSime - 45 points

8. Dobbo - 38 points

9. chrissmith276 - 35 points

10. paulgilb - 31 points

11. conorw - 28 points

12. Jord - 27 points

13. LewisGT - 24 points

14. PeteFromLeeds - 22 points

15. Roba - 18 points

Well done to jimwatts, your powers of prediction are very impressive indeed :D

That was slightly harder work than I originally anticipated (as these things almost always turn out to be) but I hope you guys enjoyed it.

And ~1^∞, I calculated your scores on the side and had you entered, you would actually have finished joint bottom with 18 points :kink:

Maestro, if you do decide to run a version of this in the new year I will definitely be taking part, although I'm pretty sure I'll be terrible at it!

And that brings the current quiz season to an end! All that remains is for Pete to announce the final leaderboard, something which I'm very much looking forward to :D

Thanks for running this Mango! Pretty happy with fifth and congrats to JimWatts.

Time allowing, I will aim to do at least one trial week of this at some point in January, so if you’re interested keep an eye out for that :)

Thanks Mango and well done Jim and the top 3. Big gap to what would have been me in 4th but for the recalculation!
Congrats Jim - and Julian since you weren't far behind! Shocked to find myself as high as 4th, my couple of bad guesses didn't harm my score as much as I thought. Thanks Mango for hosting, turned out to be a fun quiz :D

The Smiths is a compilation, it's not a studio album for sure:

Hatful of Hollow is a compilation album by English rock band the Smiths, released on 12 November 1984

Nice to end with my first quiz win of the season! :cheer: Well done Julian and Bjork for making the top 3 too (I realise the greatest hits one may be a little ambiguous but it's probably fairest we each get 4 points from it).

Thanks Mango for hosting!

It's a compilation yes, but it's not a "greatest hits" in the traditional sense, as it includes songs from BBC Radio 1 sessions as well as B-sides, so I'm sticking with not counting it.

But note for Maestro: probably don't include this as a question when you run your version in January!
