Lewis Capaldi could be back up the top 10 albums next week as he’s put out a silver foil “limited edition” cd and they’re only £5. Annoyingly they don’t have the deluxe songs on them though despite being released to coincide with the deluxe

That's terrible marketing - the silver foil CD definitely should have been the deluxe version!

Wonder if Sophie has been given a last minute reset as an Official Charts article has just been released indicating she’s on track for the top 10?!
Oliver Quick dancing round Saltburn after taking control of the school has done this
If anyone long deserves a commercial renaissance (and a Damehood for services to mental health during the pandemic...and the last 20+ years to be honest) then it's Sophie *.*

I think Sophie sorry Dame Sophie is top 10 today, look at this article:

Murder is very in right now. Murder on the Dancefloor, in fact. Today, Official Charts can reveal that Sophie Ellis-Bextor's 2001 classic hit is expected to return to the Top 10 of the UK's Official Singles Chart for the first time in 22 years this Friday.

Thanks Bjork for compiling all the posts from this page into a new post :kink:

(Hooray that they are resetting her after all anyway although seems odd that we're finding out a day early - I wonder if this means they always decide resets on Thursdays rather than Fridays?)

Makes it look like a manual reset in response to speculation about it, rather than waiting for the data to confirm the 25% increase for an automatic one - which might have been preferable as a future precedent (i.e. for 'Perfect (Exceeder)' if it also qualifies and any other songs which haven't been in the chart for 3 years to be reset if they get a 25% increase in the first week in January). Great that it's taken place anyway.

Wonder if that means 'Popular' could be in line for a manual reset now... also what are the odds 'DNA' misses out of the Top 10 as a result and ends up at #11 (at least at #12 there's the small consolation of it being a rare triple peak)

Yay rooting for Sophie! I thoight they’d do a re-enter a la cruel summer and then manual reset for next week but yay tbat they’re going ahead with it now !

I guess so - can only hope that someone at Armada Music is equally prudent in making sure Mason does get reset if it's otherwise falling foul of New Year reset rule jank.
