What a great top 2!

So happy to see Young Blood in the top 10. Runaway Daydreamer and Life Is .a Camera are also great from that album.

Yes like everybody was surprised that 'Groovejet' wasn't over a million if 'Murder' was as that felt more iconic but not being on streaming platforms hurt it.
It's a real shame so many of her singles were released when sales were in the doldrums. A lot deserve much better totals.
The article is a bit lazy really why only top 3 sales? They could have given us heartbreak and get over you sales to make it too 5 at least…
I'm guessing probably because sales below number 3 are really low , there's a massive drop from 2 to 3

I have a feeling 'Get Over You' is on 130k+ and 'Heartbreak' maybe 140-150k.

The top two and Heartbreak are obviously fantastic but also throwing some love out there for the underrated Catch You.
Can we have a bit more love and respect for Take Me Home please! :music:

It's always been my fave

Well, until 'Bittersweet' overtook it fairly recently anyway.

All this Sophie attention has made me listen to some of her more recent material and I really rather like the single Breaking the Circle, it completely passed me by last year

(also yes Take Me Home is great... not MOTD levels of greatness but still really decent)

'Murder on the Dancefloor's total inc. this week: 1,020,219

This must mean it crossed a million last week! :o

Hopefully 2x Platinum in the next 3-4 months. That’s probably the quickest it could reach there.

Echoing the love for Take Me Home here. I have to say when I first heard it as a kid it didn't grab me like Murder On The Dancefloor did. I think it was when I got Now 50 that Christmas when Murder was just in the charts I started to enjoy Take Me Home a bit more as I played it through the compilation.

Agreed.

Sophie has a generally amazing discography, I’m not sure why people feel the need to go out of their way to point out that they like her ‘best songs’. There is so much indirect shade at Take Me Home in here when it’s a great track.

I’m a little similar. I don’t recall it doing much in Australia, so it passed me by. I discovered it after I bough the album though (which I got after Murder on the Dancefloor & Get Over You). It started to grow on me after that.

Probably not in my top 5, but her discography is that strong, so there’s no shade intended. :)
