If it avoids ACR over Christmas, would APT go to number one in 2025?

unlikely - it would still have to go up against a freshly reset That's So True

^ It had an automatic reset last week while it was less than 3 years old, and it's just been left on SCR as it turned 3 years old during this week.

So long Disturbed  impressed it even held onto a Top 100 position, its decisive third decline must have been a very small one.

Thanks for the explanation. I guess it make sense......

Playing devils advocate here, but if for some reason the songs that go to ACR in December don’t get an auto reset, what is likely going to be number 1? Because I assume APT and That’s So True will go to ACR in the next couple of weeks? Would they still be ahead of the top song on SCR (guessing Defying Gravity, Luther or Messy will be) or would it likely be one of those?
'APT.' looks like it won't go to ACR in any case - its sales are above where they were in last week's mids, and there's no way it'll decline by more than the market in 3 weeks' time when the resets usually take place. I could actually see it being the only non-Christmas song in the Top 40 the week before, if Gracie goes to ACR then and Lola doesn't keep the current momentum.

So I was wrong about 'Merry Christmas', which has been shunted to ACR, and 'The Sound of Silence' which clearly had a narrow avoidance and has gained even further again this week. We lose both pineapples but one will be back in January I expect.

SCR

Alex Warren ~ Burning Down

Chrystal ~ The Days

Disturbed ~ The Sound Of Silence

Sabrina Carpenter ~ Bed Chem

Tate McRae ~ It's Ok I'm Ok

DCL-1

Charli XCX ~ Sympathy Is A Knife (feat. Ariana Grande)

Lady Gaga ~ Disease

Laufey ~ Winter Wonderland

Raye ~ Oscar Winning Tears

Rosé and Bruno Mars ~ APT.

DCL-2

Gracie Abrams ~ That's So True

The Weeknd and Playboi Carti ~ Timeless

DCL-3

Linkin Park ~ The Emptiness Machine

Teddy Swims ~ The Door

Teddy Swims ~ Bad Dreams

The Kid Laroi ~ Nights Like This

all other charting songs not listed are either on ACR or have fewer than 7 charting weeks

So it was the Wrapped boost that saved Disturbed from ACR and kept them on zero declines the following week. Looks like they'll stay on SCR for while into 2025 now, with the Christmas clearout helping them to avoid again.
Impressive for it to get a wrapped boost given its spend a total of zero days in the Spotify chart this year

...and for the final update of the year, we don't get the Lol moment of Gracie crashing next week in the end as she did actually gain this week. Instead we get the not-so-funny moment of The Weeknd departing next week's chart altogether and then returning somewhere in the top 20 with a reset.

Disease!!?!?!? MOTHER!!!!!!!! :cheeseblock:

Going to re-enter the top 40 post-Christmas. :cheeseblock: Will be nice to see it gain a number of more weeks top 40 for its chart run. It's trickle streaming quite nicely.

So does that mean ATP will go to ACR if it declines next week or it’s irrelevant and will go back to 0 weeks of decline come January?
The latter I think - although it may appear to be on ACR in the first updates leading up to the 3 January chart.
It would go to ACR technically but spend zero weeks on ACR as it would be reset back to SCR again before the first chart in January. Also it’s APT. not ATP.

Adenosine Triphosphate anyone?

Apt should be going ACR today, Bed Chem on DCL-2 and I’m surprised Gracie has swerved ACR even with the Christmas rush
