Good evening and welcome to the next stage of Club Bizarre Vol.26: Piano. We have received an amazing 29 entries and having had a quick listen, I'm happy to say there are lots of different interpretations of the theme and we've got a pretty diverse contest in terms of genre and era.

Please take your time to enjoy these piano bangers and beauties over the coming weeks:

Please submit your votes to me (gooddelta) via PM in Eurovision format: 12 points (for your favourite), 10, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 and finally 1 point for your 10th favourite. You cannot vote for your own entry. Non participants are welcome to vote as guests.

As a reminder, this is an anonymous contest. Please don't reveal your entry - I will do that during the results. Speculation is welcome though, as of course is discussion!

The deadline for votes is Thursday 8th February 2024 at 11.59pm, so you have over two and a half weeks. Results will then likely take place on Friday 9th or Saturday 10th February.

*NOTE: This has been extended - without any penalties being incurred - to Friday 9th February 2024 at 11.59pm - results hopefully at the weekend. 15% deduction for any late votes received in the hours between the new, final deadline and the results show, 33% deduction if you don't vote at all.*

Happy listening!

Note: Pianoman is not on Spotify and the competing versions for Barry Can't Swim, Headcase, High Contrast, Praga Khan and Unkle are also not on Spotify. Alternative length versions have been included for these five songs (could the posters who sent them please let me know privately if you would prefer me to remove these versions from the playlist) but please can everyone check the YouTube links separately.

I think I only recognise a few of these, most familiar with Prayer - 'Make Me Feel' which did quite well in my chart, off the back of its Electronic Track of the Week inclusion :music:

That Pianoman song must be the follow up to the iconic 'Blurred' then I wonder? Edit: no its from 1 year before it.

Have heard the Loveland, Praga Khan songs before in my 90s OCC chart archive searches, both good, the latter a bit crazy sounding!

Serial song contest participant UNKLE being wheeled out once again - they are usually quality though so never going to complain too much about them making an appearance!

Methinks I probably know what Chez's entry is already as well :teresa:

There are lots of recognisable artists this time around, most of which should hopefully be good based on previous material I know from them, but I think there are only 2 or 3 actual songs I've heard before (if 'Injected With A Poison' is the song I think it is!)

Ending up only 1 away from the previous record turnout then with Doctor B's late entry sliding in *.* welcome to first time participant wobbleflop539 x

Cast A Spell was being played out as early as 1993 & Blurred, 1994. It took a few years for them to become bigger. Cast A Spell didn't get a proper release as Whitney's vocals weren't cleared.

On Buzzjack I used to get U.N.K.L.E. confused with U.K.N.Y from 'Jason Nevins Presents U.K.N.Y. Feat. Holly James - I'm In Heaven'

I'm overseas next week with work so will sadly miss an imminent listenthrough but I've started my own listening and there are lots of strong entries here.

I've cast my vote just now, and it's the first vote on the scoreboard!

Really pleased with the entries to this, I ended up wanting to vote for 13 and could have voted for a few more besides. A very varied set of entries - lots of different interpretations of the theme which was great to see.
