January 26, 20242 yr Author 02 | 03 | 20th week Sophie Ellis-Bextor Murder On The Dancefloor 2nd single from Read My Lips Released: 3rd December 2001 Label: Polydor Chart Statistics NE (15/12/2001) | 2-3-4-4-2-7-11-16-16-16-21-25-36-48-60-61-x RE (11/01/2024) | 8-2-3-2 Sales: 1,100k+ Certification: Platinum Status: Standard Chart Ratio 02 Sales 02 Audio Streaming 05 Video Streaming Video hAx6mYeC6pY Biography Sophie Ellis-Bextor had her first breakouts as the frontwoman for the ‘90s Britpop act TheAudience and as a duet partner for Manic Street Preachers. Yet the English singer—who was born in a London suburb in 1979—found her true calling as a dance-pop diva when she contributed vocals to “Groovejet (If This Ain’t Love),” an ebullient house track by DJ Spiller that became a No. 1 single in the UK in 2000. Ellis-Bextor continued her momentum with 2001’s “Murder On the Dancefloor” and many more hits that showcased her irresistible blend of wit, effervescence, and vulnerability, along with her unabashed love of disco. Her penchant for old-school grandeur is just as strong on later releases like 2019’s The Song Diaries, a collection of newly recorded orchestral versions of her hits, including a take on “Groovejet” that’s worthy of a James Bond soundtrack. - Apple Music Top 100 Chart History 2000 01 Groovejet (If This Ain't Love) (Spiller feat. January 26, 20242 yr Author 01 | 01 | 17th week Noah Kahan Stick Season 1st single from Stick Season Released: 8th July 2022 Label: Mercury Records / Republic Records Chart Statistics NE (12/10/2023) | 69-28-18-9-10-8-5-4-2-5-2-4-10-1-1-1-1 Sales: 700k+ Certification: Platinum Status: Standard Chart Ratio 02 Sales 01 Audio Streaming 05 Video Streaming Video JKrDdsgXuso Biography As Noah Kahan changes, he casts those experiences onto songs like light through a film projector. At the core of the music’s upbeat energy and unfiltered lyrics, you’ll hear who he was before and who he became — almost in real-time. The Vermont singer still pens songs straight from the heart and still cracks jokes with his signature, self-deprecating sense of humor; he’s just changed in all of the right ways (and chronicled them via his songwriting). He gained that understanding through quite the journey from small town Vermont to global renown. He’s racked up over one billion streams, released two full length albums (Busyhead, 2019 and I Was/I Am, 2021) and a mid-pandemic EP (Cape Elizabeth, 2020), picked up a Gold Certification for “Hurt Somebody” feat. Julia Michaels, and performed on television shows such as The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, The Kelly Clarkson Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Late Night with Seth Meyers, and TODAY. Not to mention, he’s collaborated with everyone from Joy Oladokun to Chelsea Cutler to mxmtoon to Quinn XCII to Gryffin. After 5 years of critical acclaim and global touring, he sought an even purer style of writing and arrangement, a challenge from within to convey a vivid representation of what he loves, fears, and struggles with most passionately. Now, Noah continues to progress with his highly anticipated new album Stick Season out now. - Spotify Top 100 Chart History 2023 32 Dial Drunk -3- 2023 83 Call Your Mom (Noah Kahan & Lizzy McAlpine) -4- 2023 01 Stick Season -1- 2023 95 She Calls Me Back (Noah Kahan & Kacey Musgraves) -5- 2023 16 Northern Attitude (Noah Kahan & Hozier) -2- 2023 63 You're Gonna Go Far -AT- 2023 72 Everywhere, Everything (Noah Kahan & Gracie Abrams) -6- 2024 05 Homesick (Noah Kahan & Sam Fender) -7- 1 x #1 | 2 x Top 5 | 2 x Top 10 | 3 x Top 20 | 4 x Top 40 | 8 x Top 100 Social Media Noah Kahan http://i.imgur.com/1SERq1f.png

January 26, 20242 yr Author  Future chart hit? Justin Timberlake Selfish 1st single from Everything I Thought It Was Released: 25th January 2024 Label: RCA Records Video je0roKRn3nY Biography Teen idol, pop phenom, R&B innovator, Man of the Woods–Justin Timberlake is a master of reinvention. Born in 1981, the Tennessee native got his start on The All-New Mickey Mouse Club (alongside Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera) and then smashed all kinds of chart records in his later teens with the Orlando-based *NSYNC. But he would go on to rewrite the rulebook for boy-band-alum second acts when he gracefully transitioned to a grown-and-sexy solo star, fusing slick, R&B beats (crafted largely by The Neptunes and Timbaland) with irresistible pop hooks. Armed with a fluid falsetto and charismatic stage presence, he’s headlined half-time spectaculars, become a regular on Saturday Night Live, and landed roles in award-winning films like The Social Network and Inside Llewyn Davis, all while earning comparisons to no less than Michael Jackson and Prince. But in the end, it's Timberlake's catalog of instant classics that will cement his place in pop history: “Cry Me a River” redefined the breakup ballad, "SexyBack” and “My Love” sparked a new era of synth-pop, and “Suit & Tie,” his 2013 collaboration with JAY-Z, brought the spirit of the Rat Pack back to life. - Apple Music Top 100 Chart History 2002 02 Like I Love You (feat. January 26, 20242 yr Author  Future chart hit? The Kid LAROI HEAVEN 3rd single from THE FIRST TIME Released: 26th January 2024 Label: Columbia Records Video MsiqejoIhRo Biography In an Apple Music interview from mid-2020, The Kid LAROI reminisced about the short but formative time he spent in LA living with the late emo rapper Juice WRLD. They’d hang out all day, bonding, making music, seeing friends, whatever. People always coming and going, never a dull moment. Sometimes, Juice would wake LAROI up in the middle of the night, wild with excitement about a track LAROI had to put a verse on. Other mornings, LAROI would wake up to his and Juice’s managers saying it was time to pack up and head to Texas. Like, now. He was 15, 16 years old. “I’d never experienced anything like that,” he said. “Especially coming from Australia, where everything is kind of like its own bubble.” Not that 15-year-olds outside Australia would be used to it either. But such is the meteoric ascent of a talented young rapper circa 2020. Born Charlton Howard in 2003, LAROI—whose name is a reference to the Kamilaroi Indigenous nation, in which he has family roots—grew up in the suburbs of Sydney, and began to work on music when he was a pre-teen. Like Juice WRLD, Post Malone or even Lil Peep, LAROI’s key tracks—“ALWAYS DO”, “TRAGIC” and the Juice WRLD collaboration “GO”—blend ultra-melodic trap with shades of alternative rock and classic pop, a fusion that has put him on the front burner of pop-rap. His first album, F*CK LOVE, hit the Top 10 before he turned 18. - Apple Music Top 100 Chart History 2020 43 GO (The Kid LAROI & Juice WRLD) -1- 2020 38 SO DONE -2- 2020 66 ALWAYS DO -AT- 2020 02 WITHOUT YOU -3- MILLIONAIRE 2020 63 Reminds Me Of You (Juice WRLD & The Kid LAROI) -NAS- 2021 47 No Return (Polo G feat. January 26, 20242 yr Stick season would probably be #1 for 10 weeks if it doesn’t get in acr trouble.
January 26, 20242 yr When Taylor releases her next TV album, it should help Cruel Summer to fallA- 'Speak Now' & '1989' TV's didn't exactly hinder it's momentum. B- Her tour starts up again in March so Tik Tok will probably be full of Taylor's opening song again (which is 'Cruel Summer') and she is touring the UK this year finally... DURING SUMMER... so... I do hope there's a chance for it to still be top 40 at that point as I would LOVE to see some reactions on here :cheeseblock:
January 26, 20242 yr New entries and new peaks outside the top 40: 41. The Last Dinner Party - Nothing Matters (+30) 47. Michael Marcagi - Scared To Start (+26) 51. YG Marley - Praise Jah In The Moonlight (+12) 71. Giggs ft. Dave - Incredible Sauce (+22) 75. Dylan Gossett - Coal (+16) 96. Reneé Rapp & Megan Thee Stallion - Not My Fault (NEW) 97. Dimitri Vegas & Like Mine - Thank You (Not So Bad) (NEW)
January 26, 20242 yr the devil works hard but Swifties during the Eras tour work harder Speaking of which doesn't it resume in under 2 weeks just in time for it to avoid acr

January 27, 20242 yr Very uneventful top end of the chart this week, I am moderately interested to hear this Benson Boone song based on reactions to it though, and I suppose the Noah/Sam one too x good to see 'Unwritten' getting closer to a top 10 re-entry at least. And glad Ariana has got a second week in the top 3, not out of the top 20 etc. etc. From the new entries of the week I have heard already it's not a great bunch, I actually don't mind 'Alibi' that much though, I feel it justifies its sample usage a little more than some of the other shameless remakes, case in point the utter cack that is 'Whatever', way to completely drain the personality out of the original song. I'd honestly have preferred it to just be a straight cover rather than making those very slight tweaks to the lyrics that just make it feel tackier. But the biggest problem with it lies as ever with Kygo who just refuses to make any artistic progression ever, the same eye roll worthy drop for the 800th time. It's almost as bad for me as 'I'm Good (Blue)', the only saving grace is that while I still don't like the production at all, it at least sounds competently made and doesn't physically hurt my ears. The Becky/Sonny song was almost ok but as with 'Asking' something goes really wrong with the vocals in the chorus, Clementine and Becky both don't normally sound this bad so I have to blame Sonny for this x (also the drop is pretty weak on this one too). Not heard the David Kushner song yet either but I hear it's basically the same song as 'Daylight' which I wasn't a fan of so low expectations there. 'Seventeen Going Under' getting reset yet again :') is that the 4th time now? Can we just let it rest rather than having it re-enter every time he breathes pleeeease. At least Sam does finally have another top 40 hit lol ~ (and I guess the silver lining of this reset is it saving us from having another mid new entry from The Last Dinner Party  although sure they'll enter next week anyway).
January 27, 20242 yr It's the 5th time 'Seventeen Going Under' has been reset, all of them automatic: Oct 2021: entered Top 40 at #26, album release Nov 2021: re-entered at #22, took off on TikTok Jul 2022: re-entered at #20, post Glastonbury Jun 2023: re-entered at #29, some tour dates iirc Jan 2024: re-entered at #35, 'Homesick' effect Edited January 27, 20242 yr by jimwatts
