March 4, 20242 yr Galantis, David and 5SOS at #96 in the update. I predicted it to be WAY higher than that. Like most dance songs, it'll only be a hit if it gets good playlisting - which it hasn't yet. And the 5SOS fanbase don't seem to care much about it, which isn't too surprising I think.
March 4, 20242 yr Olly holding on much better today than I expected with ‘Dizzy’ - 3rd year in a row that the UK entry actually becomes a Top 40 hit.
March 4, 20242 yr Ouch @ Headie One only being at #100. UK rap certainly isn't where it was in the charts a few years ago.

The 5SOS fanbase hasn't given them a top 100 hit since 2020 either tbf so this is off to a good start by their recent standards.

March 4, 20242 yr Would love to see RAYE back in the T5 albums, shame it’d be at the expense of one of the newbies though!
March 4, 20242 yr Shame the Brits has done nothing for any of Kylie's back catalogue :( Ya it's very disappointing but at least dance alone is number 55.
March 4, 20242 yr Ouch @ Headie One only being at #100. UK rap certainly isn't where it was in the charts a few years ago. Headie One seems to be quite inconsistently charting right now. His last solo single didn't reach the top 100 either (and that was the follow-up to a UK top 10 single btw) but he did get two top 40s from his K-Trap collaborative album!
March 4, 20242 yr Shame the Brits has done nothing for any of Kylie's back catalogue :( Brits is pretty dead in terms of event television now. Only 2.5 million people watched it on Saturday.
March 4, 20242 yr Shame the Brits has done nothing for any of Kylie's back catalogue :( This :nocheer: Although (Raye aside) Brits impact looks minimal so far.
March 4, 20242 yr What a wonderful top 20, apart from Carnival and the fact Cruel summer is there far far too long. The list is a real improvement on a few years ago. I am loving some of those new entries including Olly Alexander and Charli XCX. But hoping 21 Pilots can hold on, so deserves it but I have a feeling it won't.
March 4, 20242 yr How is Olly at 13? it’s not even doing anything on streaming is it? It had a large number of downloads on Friday; it did reasonably well on Apple, and it’s doing well on Amazon. In fact, on Friday, it did ok on Spotify too.
March 4, 20242 yr I think only Escapism will get a Brits reset - of course RAYE has other tracks that have not been relegated to ACR yet - so could well chart. The only other artist - looking across all platforms - to get a significant Brits effect is Jungle. But who knows if the effect is enough for them to get a reset or to re-enter the chart.
