maestro are we spared of prada and greedy resets definitely ?

I'd hope so bar some label shenanigans requesting manual resets.

Prada was only up 12% so no chance there.

greedy was up 21% so a bit closer but I still think we should be safe.

Amazon music bizarre as ever Texas hold em has gone from 1(was there at least a week) to 238
Ariana’s new single is not an instant smash. But my GOD is it good!! It’s Robyn-lite. But it’s an absolute BEAUT of a song. Really hope it can smash (but I’d probably say it’ll likely be a decent running mid-top 20 peaking hit instead. It’s too subtle to make any real, noticeable effect imo.
I actually think "bye" will be the hit, it's top of the tracklisting and seems to be the most instant.

I'm loving Ari's new album, but I don't think it has "hits" on it. I can totally see why they went with 'Yes, And' as the single though as it's commercial sounding when the rest isn't particularly.

Agreed that I'd love 'We Can't Be Friends' to do the business though, I think it's the best thing she's done since No Tears/God is a Woman.

Agreed; for me 'bye' was more instant than either of the 2 single choices. Tis a bop!

From the buzz I’ve seen I expect huge worldwide numbers for Ariana maybe so so UK numbers all top 50 probably all top 20 worldwide
Yes and will also have physical boost next week as the Mariah remix cds ship this week. Not sure how much it’ll add cos the remix is awful but I’m sure there’ll be a small amount of cds sold
well tbf, the cds did go up for sale before people heard how bad it was so im sure some bought it then! not sure anyone would buy it after hearing it though :kink:
hopefully there’s a we can’t be friends CD coming at some point. It’s just too good to not at the least go top ten! I do think Spotify is more her platform than what Apple is though and that the track could perhaps peak in weeks to come? We’ve had a bit of a different approach this time around with Ari but I think this era may well be more of a campaign

100% agreed. Bye isn't very commercial, and either is the new single. The only two that sound like modern hits are Yes, And? and the title track ... kind of.

I now see why they only went with ONE single pre-album release.

I thought 'yes, and?' was supposed to have killed all the buzz :teresa:

Yeah well let’s wait and compare eternal sunshine’s numbers with positions and thank u, next, shall we? Apple Music seems underwhelming so far

I think We Can't Be Friends is the best thing she's done in ages and a proper great single

while Yes And? is one of the worst songs of the year up there with Whatever, Teddy Swims, etc

on Apple right now

5 Yes And?

13 We can't be Friends

14 Bye

rest between 18-42
