April 12, 20242 yr I can see Hozier only lasting 2 weeks at #1 as Taylor will be coming for him in 2 weeks Could totally see Hozier making way for a Taylor track and then BOOTING it off the top spot to reclaim the #1.
April 12, 20242 yr Begs the question of who will be the next #1? Noah, Benson, and Hozier are all alternative/indie/folk with two out of three being fairly new names and the other being mostly absent from the upper reaches of the chart for a long time. Beyoncé is a huge name so that alone draws success. I’d say next week will be Too Sweet with ease and then Taylor the week after providing a song is pushed as a single on release. But that’s not guaranteed as Too Sweet is doing nothing but climbing :P

April 12, 20242 yr Could totally see Hozier making way for a Taylor track and then BOOTING it off the top spot to reclaim the #1. I think he has every chance of even preventing her! And I'm kind of waiting to use that quote of the person who arrogantly claimed it was a "laughable" suggestion Hozier would pose any threat

April 12, 20242 yr Well I guess we have our first #1 from entirely outside the anglosphere since 7 Years then! *cue debate on whether Ireland is within the anglosphere or not*
April 12, 20242 yr Well I guess we have our first #1 from entirely outside the anglosphere since 7 Years then! *cue debate on whether Ireland is within the anglosphere or not* Surely Ireland is in the anglosphere? It used to be part of the same country.
April 12, 20242 yr First #1 from another EU country since the leave vote :o I approve of this 'I'm Good (Blue)' erasure x
April 12, 20242 yr Surely Ireland is in the anglosphere? It used to be part of the same country. Wikipedia and Dictionary.com would suggest otherwise!
April 12, 20242 yr I approve of this 'I'm Good (Blue)' erasure xI meant entirely from the EU (but agree in principle)
April 12, 20242 yr Let’s hope Hozier’s label are whirring up the 99p CD single machine in case Taylor is a threat.
April 13, 20242 yr This song sounds fantastic - agreed! We do seem to be getting the better country charting high than the US.FYI, 'Belong Together' is not country...otherwise anything with an acoustic guitar would be country!
April 16, 20242 yr Surely Ireland is in the anglosphere? It used to be part of the same country. 🤔 not sure you know what your talking about here!
