Tay's tracks are now combined on AM and she holds top 14.

Regarding the earlier subject of "how many hardcore-Swifties there are", I did a poll on the local fan forum how many times they have listened to the album and 27.9% of the respondents (201 as of now) picked 5+ times, so there's one explanation for the huge numbers. That's 150 tracks of Taylor Swift in a day.

If there are, let's say 500k people that listen to the whole Anthology album 5 times, it gives 77.5 million streams.

it was out 1am UK, I don’t know what’s the rolling in YT chart but I doubt that out of 18.5M first day she did less than 400K in the UK which is the second most successful country for her (Spotify data) So let’s wait for the next update.

I feel like last.fm is a pretty good barometer for this sort of thing given that it's largely unfiltered. Just picked a random track on the album ("Who's Afraid of Little Old Me") and it's got an average of 2.1 streams per listener right now. By comparison, I looked at "Won't Tell" from the new Pearl Jam album that just came out and that has a ratio of 1.6 streams per listener. I'd need to check back in on this in a week though, it's worth noting that for a more contemporary comparison, Benson Boone's album tracks from 2 weeks ago have a higher ratio (3.9ish) but they've obviously had more time to accumulate that.

Also just hijacking to say that I do think overall plays is a more worthwhile metric of popularity than listeners. You can compare the global weekly artist charts to the monthly ranks on Spotify and it really highlights which artists are scraping by with a finger in every pie, and which ones actually have people invested.

Taylor sold 1.5 physicals so far in the US on course for 2.5 mill+ debut, no word on the UK yet but anything under 200k would be a surprise at this point

1AM gives the UK 23 hours whereas US much less since they had only 6-7 hours but it says 6 mill US and 400 UK so doesn’t add up. Thinking there is a timeline error and we will see true figures later

In amongst Swiftmania I just noticed that Raffaella Carrà, a legend in Italy (who sadly passed away in 2021), is attached to a rising dance song at #127 - that was definitely not on my 2024 bingo card!

If that progresses a lot then her only U.K. hit was back in 1978 so quite a substantial gap

Legend, when will your faves :cheeseblock:

Does anyone know whats the highest 1 day stream for a single song in the US? cos Forthnight did nearly 11 million and I don't recall anyone ever doing that

by comparison, Taylor's own Anti-Hero did 7 Million or Adele-Easy on Me did 5 Million

Forthnight down to 900K on Spotify but very good hold

Higher than Anti-Hero's second day (790k), so good going!

fortnight down to 900K but still at #1. hozier back up to #2, only him and sabrina back in the top 10 though!

If you click on 'PkStreams' here it should eventually sort daily peaks. Highest non-Taylor Swift is "Girls Want Girls" on 6.1M

Obviously still depends on how the album tracks perform over the next few days but I would bet on Taylor 1/3/4 with Hozier at 2 and Sabrina at 5 atm.

I can do it with a broken heart now the 2nd highest Taylor song on spotify despite being track 13!!

Will be interesting what the next two songs charting will be between that, so long london, tortured poets & down bad - seems like it might be very close!
