178 songs did over 100k on Spotify yesterday which is absolutely insane.

Asking back in the top 50 is disgusting however, I pray it doesn't get reset.

Glad he's dropped off!! He would have ruined Sabrina's career if he got to no.1 now!! She's a brand new artist with a big hkt that needs to stay at no.1 for WEEKS to cement some form of future success.
A song doing over a mill streams and then dropping to 680k+ is a flop? Good lord.

Literally this.

Not to mention Post Malone hasn't had a UK top 10 hit as a lead artist since 2019, and now he's looking to debut top 5. Let's not use the word "flop" ridiculously x

Something must have changed with Spotifys numbers or algorithm? Numbers are so so high in the whole top 50. Prada why oh why is thst still pulling crazy numbers?

Disagree. Think it's due to the nice weather

Sabrina's a brand new artist with a big hkt that needs to stay at no.1 for WEEKS to cement some form of future success.

She’s released 5 albums over the last 9 years! Espresso is by far her biggest hit and probably does serve as an introduction to many people but she’s not brand new. :kink:

Isn't everything a flop these days there's no such thing as success anymore

Yup everything is either a flop or is popular due to Autoplay

Post & Morgan up to #7 on Amazon. Climbing nicely there.

"A Bar Song (Tipsy)" is also now #1 on Amazon although that's partly because Sabrina's "Espresso" is now being split between multiple versions (at #12 & #18).

Olly "Dizzy" up to #33 on Amazon.

Nemo "The Code" also at #52 on Amazon.

Oh!! No wonder Taylor loved her. She wasn't a threat. Watch their relationship suddenly MASSIVELY sour now!

The Eurovision song winning on Spotify so far is the one that didn't even get performed 😅

I think putting these things together is a bit of a false equivalence. It's completely fair and valid to comment on when songs are obviously having their plays inflated by autoplay. No one has ever suggested that songs are only getting streams from that, it just keeps providing pretty short lived large increases.

I believe Eurovision songs have done much better on Spotify than Apple in the last couple of years, hoping that Nemo and Baby Lasagna can both challenge to go top 40. I'm not sure what to expect to make an appearance beyond those and Olly.

edit: just checked the top 100 'pop' chart on Apple music and the next few Eurovision tracks are Bambie Thug, Angelina Mango and Joost but they're quite a way behind (82/97/99 compared to Nemo, Olly and BL being 19/28/36). Of course Joost is already nearly top 100 on Spotify though so that is maybe already a good sign that the songs will do a lot better on Spotify in general again. Would love Bambie Thug to go top 100 this week.

I think the impact will be significantly smaller than the past couple of years without the interest of a strong UK finish or a UK hosted contest.

Would be great if Baby Lasagna could make it in to the top 40 though.

Also is Eurovision like X Factor where the best ones are always runner ups after Cha Cha Cha and now Baby Lasagna?!

Also Espresso seriously comes on after every single thing I play on Spotify.

I mean I do like the song and have intentionally played it a few times but it's after EVERYTHING!

Fortnight down to Stick Seasons level of steams after onlt a Fortnight is not what I expected after its opening days figures!
