Oh, TIL Karmin was a duo all these times! :o Really liking their UK 1hw song and another one called Hello.

Wish Madcon had their European hit Don't Worry (with Ray Dalton) reaching the top 40 too. :(

Ahhh I missed the wonderful Thirteen Senses! A bit remiss of me as I saw them live 3 times back in the day.

I tried to limit my votes to acts who I've heard at least two albums by, so Primal Scream weren't on my list, but Screamadelica is of course an incredible album

I have The Shadows' Greatest Hits in my record collection also - 'Apache' and 'Wonderful Land' are my favourites.

Didn't vote for any of those but my biggest loss from that bunch is Starsailor - their first two albums were fantastic.

I thought Primal Scream might have attracted a couple more voters.

Well how rude x Screamadelica is an incredible album, and they have selected highlights from their later stuff too.

Getting this down to 30 was near impossible, never quite realised how much groups have made up the majority of my listening habits growing up.

Feel like The Shadows deserve more than just one point but glad they make an appearance anyway, they were often carrying the sessions for the earlier years of our SyncTube marathons.

Good to see Primal Scream and Three 6 Mafia getting a nod too.

edit: and Maxïmo Park too, 'Our Velocity' is an eternal fave

Some good choices in there - although a couple I'd never heard of.

Very surprised at Primal Scream only getting the 1 point tbh.

Less Than Jake are another great shout. Kind of odd to see a band as iconic as The Shadows get just 1 point.

I know pre 80s acts tend to be snubbed with one palindromic exception, and so I thought The Shadows might get the cold shoulder. I really felt they deserved to appear in the rundown so I made sure I gave them a point. I wonder if my 2 pointer will appear tomorrow…
Of all of these, Deacon Blue would be my favourites. I adore ‘Dignity’ and ‘Your Town’ and the work they rehearsed during the pandemic.

BIGGEST HIT: BULL IN THE HEATHER (#24, 1994)

Surprised to be the only voter for Yeah Yeah Yeahs - 'Maps' is a huge fave of mine, 'Heads Will Roll' is great too and charted 'Wolf' from them last year.

Primal Scream and The Lightning Seeds are my other favourites so far, the latter have so many good songs, although of course they are best known for just one (or two depending how you count them).

Yes, surprised to see Lightning Seeds getting only 1 vote. They were very popular for a while.

But not surprised to see that My Life Story are my first unique selection.

The Lightning Seeds were not far from my vote, I would have put them somewhere from 40th to 31st.

The Four Seasons have done some good songs as well.
