Well, I hate to come here as the only post so far of not complete positivity but I’m a little disappointed :( I do like pretty much every song and I particularly like the run of How Bad Do U Want Me

At the moment I am very underwhelmed with this album, it was marketed as more disease abracadabra born this way sounding and to me it sounds like the fame with subpar lyrics. I am holding off as it might grow but for someone like her to produce lovedrug, beast, blades of grass this far into her career? They are fully album fillers if that :(

Shadow of a man

Killah

Don't call tonight

How bad do u want me

The above are standing out to me, but for me personally this is subpar and not what I was expecting from the previous 3 singles or the album rollout.

Everyone has different versions of gaga they like and want and quite clearly this is hitting the nail with most people, but unfortunately for me it just isn't

Shadow Of A Man and Garden Of Eden are the clear stand outs!!

Shadow Of A Man must have been inspired by Wanna Be Starting Something!

I think this part is interesting because the singles definitely suggest that but she's never said that the whole album would be. In fact she said "you'll think you know what you're getting from the first two tracks but then it completely shifts" or words to that effect.

I love your comment about everyone having their favourite type of Gaga - it's what has made her stand the test of time I think. And I guess this album at least has a bit of everything so there's probably something for everyone even if the whole project isn't for you! ❤️

Album of bops - Gaga delivered! Love it.

"Shadow Of A Man" might be one of my favourite things she's done.

This is such a good album, my favourite from Gaga since Born This Way definitely, and that's just the first listen, which was on a drive back home after midnight Friday, so suitably atmospheric.

I bought the CD today in HMV and it has a bonus track called Kill For Love which is decent/Michael Jackson vibes (and inserted into the tracklisting after Don't Call Tonight, not placed at the end).

Will have to come back to review the other tracks once I've heard them a few more times but I instantly loved Garden Of Eden, Vanish Into You, Killah and How Bad Do U Want Me.

Heard a couple of these in the bar I work at last night and it’s helped Garden Of Eden to sink in a little bit. Feels very Do Somethin’ by Britney to me, which isn’t my favourite of hers, but anything that references that era is always guaranteed to hit me.

How Bad Do U Want Me is the one I can’t escape from. If everyone else can have their 80s pop moment, why can’t Gaga? She sounds so good on it and it’s just a straight up great mid tempo pop belter.

I've just realised what the melody to 'Vanish Into You' reminds me of - it's Kylie's 'Every Day Is Christmas'!

@HausofKubrick was your postman suffering after delivering your numerous variants on Friday?

Definitely! lol They're all here and look stunning! So impressed with them. I haven't opened and listened to them yet so still haven't heard the bonus tracks! :gaga:

Also I went to a MAYHEM/Gaga club night yesterday and it was so good. Got to hear Zombieboy, Garden of Eden, Perfect Celebrity, Disease and then a whole host of other Gaga classics (including her best single Marry the Night x).

Still on such a high with the album and how this era has panned out. It's what we have dreamed about since the ARTPOP era started to decline!

What’s rather good about this album is that everyone seems to like different songs the most and different streaming sites have different tracks performing well.

Swifties could really make How Bad Do U Want Me become huge as well but I think there’s many an opportunity for this era to have legs. I have a feeling it’s going to hold up rather well (I hope it does) but i honestly see this becoming her longest charting album since Born This Way.

I need to play this to my mam to get her opinion she tends to like Gaga more at her “lady” side so I think the second half of MAYHEM will be more to her tastes!

I found Abracadabra a bit clunky at first but properly loving it now. Garden of Eden is fabulous and the standout of the album tracks for me. I love how a couple of the tracks have a proper instrumental intro or outro, and how classic 80s the sound is in places. I have a hard time with pop music these days but I'm giving the album time to grow and it's growing!

I’m loving this, my favourite album of hers in so long. I really like Disease and Abracadabra and would’ve been very happy with an album in that vein but I love that the album we actually got was quite unexpected. Looove the Prince vibes of Killah, the rock drawl of Perfect Celebrity, and Garden of Eden is absolutely huge.

Vanish Into You has been the one I’ve gone back to the most, the intro took me out a bit on first listen but I can’t stop listening to it now.

I LOVE THIS ALBUM SO MUCH!!!

I’ve had it on most of the weekend and honestly in the sun it sounds incredible!

I really think Vanish Into You is the one from this album that the general public will be on board with the most. It sounds pretty huge too but I could definitely see that one taking off. I guess they’re gonna see the streaming for the album tracks and responses and then decide on what’s getting the push.

I seem to recall some sources though who’ve claimed that Vanish Into You is Gagas favourite track on the album (and I believe it was the first track finalised for MAYHEM too).

Currently in love with the playfully groovy back-to-back of 'Killah' and 'Zombieboy'! I can't seem to sit still while listening to either.

I think 'The Beast' peaked early for me but 'Zombieboy' and 'Shadow Of A Man' have been my most significant growers, so these are now my biggest keepers:

Disease

Abracadabra

Garden Of Eden

Perfect Celebrity

Killah

Zombieboy

Shadow Of A Man

Willing others to grow more as well, 'LoveDrug' for example was one of the songs standing out to me most lyrically but it's not totally hitting me as a full package yet. Shall see where future listens take me.
