In order, 60's, 70's, 80's, clearly ahead and then 90's. 00's, 10's, 20s...

must be an age thing....

80s

90s

60s

50s

00s

70s

40s

30s

1910s

1920s

1900s

Although i prefer to divide along different lines based on musical trends - for example 77-79 is brilliant but 74-76 is pretty dire. 70-73 is dodgy too and the decade would figure lower without those last few years. Likewise 55- 59 is the only reason the decade scores well and the late 60s really uprate the decade.

I always thought that you love a music from 70s more than from any other decade.

90s > 80s > 00s > 10s > 60s > 70s > 20s > 50s

90s undoubtedly inflated by it being my teen years so you know memories and all that. 80s elevated by my love of the singles from that era, a lot of the albums are pretty darn average. The 2020s suffer because I haven't been following new music really, but my general feeling is the trends haven't been as much to my tastes even if there have still been songs and albums I love.

90s for me, but the 80s is full of amazing music and I'm going back through the 70s with the Now Yearbooks and Extras and making a lot of great discoveries.

00s seems very popular on Buzzjack, going by the popularity of that forum, and our Buzzjack Presents 2006 album.

It's the decade of my teens, and it's the decade I know inside-out, love it dearly, but the music of my childhood seems to have more emotional power as I get older, and the 60's really invented everything that came after, or at least set the groundwork/inspired it. I'm only judging the best music of course, there's lots of rubbish as well in the 60's, and in every decade

My fav is the mid-2nd half of the 80s

but hate the first part of the 80s mostly cos it was dominated by Spandau Ballet and Culture Club and Duran Duran which I kinda hate

Then the 90s I also love overall almost as much as the late 80s

Then the 70s, then the 60s, both not a real fan...

I started to listen music in 16, so don't have any childhood memories. In Internet era, which was started for me in May 2011, I mostly listen retro stuff from 1970s to 2000s. My starting point was UK singles chart (from start to 1998), after it I dived into the charts of other countries and low-known / forgotten music from the selected period (1970-2012).

For me I’d rank the 20th century decades:

1970s

1960s

1980s

1990s (but this one is growing on me these days)

1950s (some gems from this one though)
