Hello everyone, sorry for the delay but we're finally things are taking off!!!

 

First and foremost I'd like to welcome everyone on another Bøtanikkä Airways hosted contest. Please pay your attention to the magazines above you, as we review the contents and you'll find there all the information you need to know about all the Star Pact Airlines.

 

Please also refer to rules below in event of an emergency:

 

VOTING RULES:

You must only vote if you're a Star Pact Airlines competing in this semi final. Our founder member Bøtanikkä Airways, must vote in both semi-finals as a auto-qualifier.

 

Votes should be submitted in the Eurovision Song Contest voting system (12 points, 10 points, 8 points and all they way down to 1 point should be awarded).

 

All votes must be sent by PM to your flight Captain (Addy!) and no one else.

 

The deadline for submitting your votes is Saturday 1st of June 2024 at 23:59 BST. Votes after deadline may be accepted at the discretion of the Captain, however, a 15% deduction and potentially causing you to downgrade to finals, will be applied to any nation submitting their votes after the deadline.

 

Any nation which fails to submit their votes will have a 33% deduction applied to their semi final points and most likely lose a seat in finals.

 

The highest scoring 20 nations from each semi final will advance to the final flight.

Recognise a few titles but not sure I know any of the other songs in either semi - look forward to listening. Session tomorrow perhaps?

I've had a Cowgirl Clue song (Tainted) as a potential for a while, other than that I think everything here is new to me!

I went to the most fun gig I have been to in forever last week (big LCD Soundsystem vibes live) but have a feeling this is going to be more annoying than liked *.*

And I thought it was going to be you in all honesty!!!

Think there are only two songs in this semi I've heard already (both from PJSC), cool to see Backxwash and Clark both making their first BJSC appearances as well though!

 

I did spot on last.fm that Kath and Ansel had both scrobbled Cowgirl Clue before but hopefully she'll be new to most people. I actually found this song because I was considering pulling my entry from the Pop Forum Song Contest to send here instead at the last minute so was looking for another pop song and stumbled across this one which I quickly got really into as well, but thought it's probably not really poppy enough for PFSC. Although in the end there were a few songs in PFSC that were clearly more dance than pop so I probably could have got away with it :kink:

I discovered Cowgirl Clue through one of Vitesse X's Spotify playlists. Her album Rodeo Star is such a fun mix of electronic and country. She has a unique style. I very nearly sent the incredible 'Trailblaze ☆' last contest, but played it safe with DJ_Dave in the end.
