I don't believe so. HHUK updated a bit before the song was released. Most of the time it updates again on Monday so expect that's when Katy will be added.

 

Song is a total BOP. Great video to go with it as well. In fact the music video already has over 117k likes in less than 2 hours which is pretty insane for western artists on youtube nowadays. Looks like she'll do big numbers on youtube to help bolster her debut week. :cheer:

It wasn’t added to todays top hits in the US either which is even more surprising.

Well that felt like it ended abruptly for me.

 

I can't say that I'm super hyped yet but I wish her the best and hopefully she'll have a decent comeback in charts (Top 20 would be considered a success for her at this stage).

Not a lead single material, sorry. She does emphasize "Woman's world" which is kind of catchy narrative for the project, but the song is very undercooked.

This is so lifeless and devoid of personality. I think I actually preferred the AI version, at least the production was a bit more interesting (and that’s without considering who’s involved with it 💀). Some of the snippets from the album sound a lot better, this is just such a dull choice for a lead single.

However this is not that good

To my ears at least there doesn’t seem to be much difference in that insta snippet what some stans swore blind wasn’t the real song to the actual official version. Wasn’t there also some rumour of it sampling something as well (or was that another track on the album they were referring too).

 

Meh it’s alright. She’s capable of better but I think both the song and video feel dated. The video itself feels like there was more money thrown at it than what she’s had for a good few years definitely more than the whole Smile era but this just doesn’t scream major comeback hit to me.

I think this does the job as a comeback for Katy Perry. It's a nice simple to the point pop bop, it's a bit on the silly side and it's very her.

 

Let's be real, I don't think anyone really looks to KP for artistic excellence - this is exactly what she excels at.

Hmm. I understand the thinking, but I do think they have blown their one chance at a successful comeback — well, in today's terms for a legacy act. Her discography has been streaming well this year, fun pop music is on the up, and she had a lot of goodwill around her. She won't get this moment again. It needed to be something memorable and massive that reminded the world why we loved her in the first place.

 

I don't think she and her team understand pop music or pop culture anymore and completely failed with this. Stans are fickle and the elephant in the room would have been ignored if the song was *it* — but it's not. I think the Dr Luke stuff is going to completely derail this era and her career if the music isn't good enough.
